Ryan’s 40th Birthday Extravaganza November 13th-20th, 2019: Day 1

Wednesday November 13th:
2am alarm. On the road at 3. Arrived at the airport at 4am. Quickly through security. We grabbed our usual breakfast burritos. We had an on time 6am departure. Stopped in Dallas. Grabbed Chick-fil-a nuggets and Starbucks. On time flight but bumpy. We landed around 1:15pm. We were on our Magical Express quickly. Teri and Kailey surprised me in the lobby of POP and Ryan knew they were going to be there. We hadn’t gotten a room text yet so we got in line and waited 10-15 minutes. He said our room was being cleaned and we should be getting our text soon. We went and bought our refill mug and walked around the resort. After nearly an hour we still hadn’t received our text. So we got in line again to be told our room has been ready and there must have been a glitch that we didn’t get the text. Our app didn’t say our room was ready by that point either. We were in Room 3459, 4th floor of the 50’s section. We changed shirts and added long sleeves since it was 19mph hour winds and temps in the 60’s. T and K rode the bus with us to MK. Dropped off by 4:45pm. Dinner of nachos at Pecos Bills and the Chocolate Mousse cake for dessert. Ryan and I used our Thunder FP at 5:30pm. Teri and Kailey used their Jungle Cruise FP. Ryan and I saw Horace Horse and Clarabelle Cow walking. I called them by name and they posed for me before heading backstage. Saw Brear Rabbit and Bear but could catch a pic fast enough. All of us used our Haunted FP. Castle pics and train station pics as we walked T and K to the exit. They needed to head home. Ryan and I used our Space FP at 7:20. Then People Mover with a 20 minute wait. We looked in the Confectionary but the lines were massive at 8:20pm. We decided to head home to get unpacked. The bus to Pop was there but it was mostly full and the families ahead of us blocked the way. They didn’t want to stand on the bus but didn’t ask or allow anyone else who was willing to stand to board. The next bus came about 10 minutes later. We stopped in the food court for a Sprite and Oatmeal Cream Cookie to take to our room. Our luggage was waiting for us. We ate our snack and then unpacked. Stretched out and watched tv for a bit. Lights out at 11pm.
