RIDisneyPinGuy182 XPGreat job everybody, this thread is hopping today!
The keeper of the 911 phone prevented a morning workout, so I’ll have to try this evening.

10dedfish177 XPHere a great race in the Outer Banks of NC Mid April. I’m currently planning on running this race again in 2018.

Flying Pirate HalfHmmmmm…
July 20, 2017 at 6:33 pm #40034@10dedfish Way to go!! Man, that 99% had to feel way better than 100% That’s just brutal! But you rocked it out!!!
July 20, 2017 at 6:35 pm #40035@kcboston Way to go!!!!! You really rocked that out, especially after being sick!!!!!!! Rock star!!!!!!
July 20, 2017 at 6:39 pm #40036@Acamm You rocked that dreadmill run!! Don’y you absolutely love when runs go that well!?!?!? That was nice of Kevin’s aunt!! When is your birthday? I didn’t miss it, did I?? And no, that sweaty hug isn’t awkward at all!!! Shoot, Ryan and I will be meeting @nascfan and Kathy at the finish line of our 10k as part of Dopey in January! Like, literally, our first time meeting in person will be as soon as I finish running 6.2 miles!
July 20, 2017 at 6:40 pm #40037@kcboston I’m honestly not smiling during!!!! I’ve gotten much stronger at them, so I feel better while doing the stairs and I smile so big at the end because I feel super accomplished!! I’m crazy like that!!! And at the end of the day, they are really keeping my legs and knees nice and strong for running. So I know the benefits are well worth the effort!
July 20, 2017 at 6:42 pm #40038Second run of the week this morning. Leia ran with me again and she’s getting smart with those treats! “Oh I get a treat for every time I stop walking? I think I’ll stop more often” not what I’d hoped we ran 1.5 miles in 21:47 which I think is my fastest completion of 1.5 miles so far! I did 0.25 walk, 0.25 run until I reached 1.5 miles, so I basically ran half of that and walked half. It worked well!
So glad I’ve been posting my progress here because I forgot to sync my Fitbit last week and it seems none of last week’s runs got logged on the app I synced this week and it goes from my run on July 7 to my run on July 19
haha!!! Silly Leia!!! But smart girl!!! Just do positive reinforcement and only give treats at set distances. Maybe she will learn better that way? And she might run faster to get to that treat faster!! But great job on your pace and your running ratios!!
July 20, 2017 at 6:43 pm #40039Yup
Like running through sludge
2 miles
26:13But you got out there and did it!!! Way to go!! That’s half the battle most days!
July 20, 2017 at 6:45 pm #40040Leia’s too smart for her own good! Great job starbee! Those “on your own” intervals are working great for you!
She sure is! What am I going to do with her? Thanks! I do seem to do better setting my own intervals, and I knew that to be true when I abandoned C25K last year when training for my first 5k. I was just so enticed by these plans saying I would achieve xyz in so many weeks that I kept wanting to try those plans. But they really don’t work as well for me as just doing my own thing.
I’m glad you are doing your own intervals!! I felt that way when I first started running. But I seriously abandoned “their” ratios within the first week or two. I’ve been listening to my body ever since. Some days I can run longer before my walk break, and other days, not so much! But that’s perfectly okay! You are rocking it!
