10dedfish177 XPJuly 17, 2017 at 12:28 pm #39151@10dedfish The fact that you’ve been able to run at all is amazing to me. You are such an inspiration with how you keep going, no matter what. You’re smart to defer something you aren’t ready for, but I’m happy you’ll be able to keep some shorter stuff on the schedule. You’ll make it back and do those in the future when you have more time to focus on your training.

I’m glad I could inspire you guys. I try to keep positive, but it does wear me down from time to time.

missingWDW183 XPSkipping the run today and doing my old reliable Firm video. Want a good laugh??? Google Firm body sculpting basics susan Harris. OMG we’re talking canary yellow leotard, yes I said leotard, with leg warmers! BUT it’s a great workout. You just have to look past the statues and murals and all the bad 80’s leotards and leggings.
Anyway, think I’ll ruuuun tomorrow. Maybe :pJuly 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm #39157@missingWDW LOLOLOL…. I don’t have to google it. I have it! Not entirely sure where it is at this particular moment but, I know exactly the video you’re talking about.

July 17, 2017 at 2:07 pm #39184Thank you @missingwdw and @acamm! I’m wondering at what point in my training I will stop looking like a hothouse tomato when I’m done. <span class=”lightbox-hover” style=”opacity: 0;”></span>
I’ve been running for over 5 years now and still look like this when I’m done
We went to the lake this weekend and I ran both Sat/Sun but I only did 2 miles. HOWEVER. Those two miles consisted of one really large hill I had to run up and then back down so I felt totally ok with the low mileage.
Today was supposed to be the start of my marathon training, but since I was completely beat last night, I didn’t wake up early enough this morning. If I can’t do it tonight, I’ll do it tomorrow morning since it’s supposed to be a rest day. Just swapping days.Great job getting in a couple of short runs! Glad you allowed yourself a rest day today! I took one myself!
July 17, 2017 at 2:10 pm #39185Well, I hate to post this. I really do. But it looks like I will have to defer at least 2 of the 3 upcoming races. I just dont see how I can get ready to do a 15 mile OCR, followed by 2 OCR events the next day by end of August.
I’m going to try and keep the short distance one (5 miles or so) and save the others for next year.
I’m so sorry, Matt! But it’s completely understandable. I’m glad you can defer your races though.

Those are pretty nice times here for sure!! Avoid spring as we always get windy season that can last from January-June! It’s normal to have 20-40 mph sustained winds with gusts up to 60mph! Not pretty, especially since we are so dry then!
July 17, 2017 at 2:24 pm #39194@missingWDW good job getting a good ol’ fashioned 80s workout in!

missingWDW183 XP@connie96 that’s FANTASTIC! I confess I have 2 copies…and I know exactly where they are! Two copies are necessary ’cause one never knows when a scratch may unexpectedly form on one’s most prized workout DVD
