missingWDW183 XP@10dedfish BLAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!
July 17, 2017 at 8:20 am #39039Thank you @missingwdw and @acamm! I’m wondering at what point in my training I will stop looking like a hothouse tomato when I’m done. <span class=”lightbox-hover” style=”opacity: 0;”></span>
Just remember, it’s not sweat, it’s liquid awesome!
And here I thought margaritas were liquid awesome :p
Thanks @starbee. When are you planning on running the second 5k? Do you want to do it “together” again?
July 17, 2017 at 8:30 am #39041@kcboston Yes! That would be great! I was planning on 7/29, just to give me an extra week to train but if this weekend works better for you, I could join you then.

bexruns374 XPThank you @missingwdw and @acamm! I’m wondering at what point in my training I will stop looking like a hothouse tomato when I’m done.
I’ve been running for over 5 years now and still look like this when I’m done
We went to the lake this weekend and I ran both Sat/Sun but I only did 2 miles. HOWEVER. Those two miles consisted of one really large hill I had to run up and then back down so I felt totally ok with the low mileage.
Today was supposed to be the start of my marathon training, but since I was completely beat last night, I didn’t wake up early enough this morning. If I can’t do it tonight, I’ll do it tomorrow morning since it’s supposed to be a rest day. Just swapping days.July 17, 2017 at 9:57 am #39093Thank you @missingwdw and @acamm! I was really hoping that magically one day I’d turn into one of those girls that looks cute while they’re exercising, instead of looking like sunburned livestock in labor

You girls just almost made me choke on my
I have a feeling you both are not giving yourself credit. @bexruns I’d kill to have your race photos.

bexruns374 XP@kcboston I’ll send you a pic of my face tomorrow morning after my run (or tonight if I go) cause it is NOT pretty.
@RIDisneyPinGuy it’s not so much while I’m running it’s when I’ve stopped. It’s like all the blood just rushes immediately to my head, particularly my face and I look like a tomato.July 17, 2017 at 10:23 am #39105You guys are so funny! @bexruns, good job running while camping! I’m ready for reports and IG pics and videos on your upcoming training!

Yes! When I would kickbox I had one female trainer who about halfway through class would always come up and ask me if I was okay or if I needed to go sit on the bench for a while :| so embarrassing!
July 17, 2017 at 11:02 am #39120@eeyorepoohfan That’s a lot of stairs! Good job! I didn’t know humidity happened where you lived. Every time I’ve been out that way, be it hot or cold, it was always DRY.
We are in our summer monsoon season! So it’s still dry, but we do have some big storms that come through. We actually had rain nearly all day on Saturday! So then that humidity holds overnight. Our normal “rainy” season is usually around July 4th and goes until September if we are lucky. I think our average annual rainfall is between 8-12 inches, that’s it! But it mostly comes in those two months. And it’s completely random and spotty around town. And we were actually 90% humidity yesterday morning!! That’s crazy high for us. When it’s even 40% humidity here, it feels humid to us!
July 17, 2017 at 11:29 am #39125@kcboston Way to go on creating your own goals! Yes, we all tend to do better that way! And we modify as needed as well! Great job with your runs too!

10dedfish177 XPWell, I hate to post this. I really do. But it looks like I will have to defer at least 2 of the 3 upcoming races. I just dont see how I can get ready to do a 15 mile OCR, followed by 2 OCR events the next day by end of August. :'(
I’m going to try and keep the short distance one (5 miles or so) and save the others for next year.
July 17, 2017 at 12:09 pm #39144@10dedfish You’ve had a lot going on that’s prevented you from training, it’s completely understandable. You don’t want to make yourself do it anyway and risk getting hurt if you’re able to defer and give it your all later. I know it’s disappointing, but I think you’re doing the right thing
July 17, 2017 at 12:13 pm #39145@10dedfish, I’m sorry you have to do that. I understand the reasons why, but I’m sorry for you that you have to.

bexruns374 XP@10dedfish you’ve had a ton of stuff on your plate lately. Totally understandable. *hugs*
