@starbee you are doing fine! Like Heather said, you keep those positive thoughts in your head and you’ll be just fine. I know you’ll do great! You’ve got this!

    Hi everyone!!!!!
    :)
I love reading this thread again and hearing about everyone’s progress….or mis-steps
    :P
It’s always good to hear everyone struggles. Keeps it real for all of us

Anyway, you know I  the colder temps and today was a prime example of it. It was 35° with a real feel of 27° for my run this morning
    YEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS
Set out to do 6, but the weather was so beautiful and sunny I pushed out 8. I wanted so badly to continue on and do 10 but I knew that pushing too much would be a mistake. With my luck I’d end up straining something and need to stop running altogether to heal
    ;)
I paced 9:46 for this run. I’m so pleased. But I know the weather had everything to do with it.
    BRING ON THOSE SNOWY RUNS!
    :elsa: :snow: :olaf:
I did screw up with my shoes for this run though. I wore my old sneakers to drop my daughter off at school and when I got back I completely forgot to change my shoes. It wasn’t until I was about 7.5 miles in, that I realized my mistake. Damn. Hope that one doesn’t come back to bite me

To all the runners/walkers out there…..
    GO STRONG!!!
    WORK HARD!!!
    LET’S GOOOOOOO!!!

That is…..WAY TOO COLD. :snow: :snow: :snow: :snow:

I enjoy like 45-50. Anything colder than that and my hands hurt. :P

We’re almost at the end of week 1 training! Tomorrow is 5 miles, which I know I can do with my eyes closed but still seems so daunting right now :surprised:

Anyway-hope everyone has a great weekend and happy running!

Did my best with getting a workout done today. My legs were pretty tired
    :P
Actually, I haven’t worked out in a while, so my entire body was shaky and weak. It will never cease to amaze me how quickly I fall out of shape these days. The years hit hard!
    :surprised:

    Hello and good evening!

Today was my first “long run” day. Only 5 miles but those 5 miles actually went by rather quick. Thank goodness cause it got warm FAST. Today was 90 degrees. It’s times like this I hate Southern California  :surprised:

Tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day but I *might* go for a short jaunt. We’ll see. :star: :map:

@missingWDW You go girl! I don’t love running in the cold, but I will say my best times ever have been in super cold temps! My ideal is 50s because I don’t freeze but I don’t sweat either. Glad you’re enjoying the weather!

    @bexruns
Ugh, 90 is crazy hot! :donald: I see you keep getting after it early in the morning and I think “that must be cold!” but then I remember where you live LOL I’ve had to switch to evening runs because I can’t stand the high teen and low 20s temps that early
