@starbee that makes sense to repeat a week. You were well ahead anyway.

It’s stormed 2 days in a row and it’s still going  I planned on running yesterday but couldn’t, and this morning but couldn’t. I refuse to run on the dreadmill! I hope this stops soon!!!

It did not storm today, however I could not motivate myself to run. On the weekends I naturally wake up pretty early usually but not today. This is only my second day off in the last 26 days and I am exhausted. Slept right through my alarm but my backup alarm woke me up. By that time it was 78* and 96% humidity so I passed. I was still feeling like a total zombie. Hopefully I’ll be able to get out tomorrow and Monday but so much for a long run this week with that and the weather

Your body needed the sleep and rest. Hoping and praying for better weather and enough sleep for you for tomorrow and Monday!

Hey all! So I’ve been staying on track with my eating and working out! HOORAY!

Days I don’t run I either have been working out (strength/weights) or going on the elliptical.
It’s kind of starting to cool off here so that’s nice (finally) and once school starts things will calm down in real life too LOL

Yesterday I got up and ran early and then later in the afternoon, James decided he wanted to go for a brutal hike in the hot hot heat.

    Hope everyone is well

Forgot to post yesterday but I ran with Leia around the neighborhood :) Despite the 74* and 86% humidity, my time was pretty decent until Leia made a couple of pit stops and I had to back track to a trash can but that’s okay. Still a little bit of a struggle run as I’m getting back into it but I’ll get there. I’m not worried about Dopey but I am frustrated that due to drill and orders I’m not getting any long runs in right now. Such is life.

    Time: 47:53
    Distance: 4.00
    Pace: 11’57”

Next run is planned for tomorrow.

You keep doing what you are doing @starbee ! This is so important, you’re keeping yourself and your legs in shape for when you can get back to those long runs. You’re going to do great!

@nascfan Thanks! :) It’s something which is better than nothing! It’s funny how when I’m effectively told “no” on those long runs I throw myself a pity party and suddenly want to run far LOL

    Still behind on posting :surprised:

4 mile run around the neighborhood with Leia :pluto: pretty uneventful but still hot and humid. Temperature was 77* and the humidity was in the 90s. So gross. Not a bad time/pace considering the weather

    Time: 46:43
    Distance: 4.00 miles
    Pace: 11’39”

I need to remember to charge my headlamp and start wearing it. It’s already too dark to see in the mornings now

Another run around the neighborhood with my baby girl. The temp was down a little today at 71* but humidity was up to 96%. No thank you! I was super sore today from hitting the gym yesterday. It didn’t feel like a lot but I’m out of routine so that’s what happens when you get back into it :( still I didn’t blow off my run this morning, I was just slow slow slow.

    Time: 50:07
    Distance: 4.00 miles
    Pace: 12’30”

And that’s probably going to be it for a week as I’m back on orders tomorrow. Hopefully the weather won’t be too unbearable after my shift so I can maybe get some 1.5 mile runs in to train for my looming PT test.

You did great @starbee ! I can tell you were sore and tired today but you got it in! I’m so proud of you! I know it’s so tough to get into a routine right now for you but I’m hoping after this week you’ll be able to find that again. Keep plugging away, you’ve got this!
