    @Nascfan and @starbee thanks! I’ve got like 2″ of that nasty white dandruff all over my back yard and thinking of taking a hair dryer and melting it all. :P LOL

    Completely did not want to jog/walk today, but I went and was determined to get 4 miles in even though I did not want to LOL I tried to go as fast as I could because I’m still scared he’s going to lock me in the track again LOL

    So for the first time in about a month and a half I got a run in. Wasn’t great and could definitely feel the lack of stamina, but I got it done.

    Great job @breesmommy5! Look how much your pace has come down! I can see you doing the marathon next year! You are awesome!

    Awesome job @10dedfish! You may not think it was great but I sure do! After a month and a half not being able to? Super, super job!

    @breesmommy5 We all have those days! 4 miles is a great distance even though you weren’t feeling it! Great job! :up: nothing like the fear of getting locked in to light a fire under your rear LOL

    @10dedfish
    That’s a great distance and pace for your first run after a hiatus! :clap:

    I have a question, my feet are taking a toll, I realize it’s probably my shoes but does anyone else deal with that? I had a toenail fall off so I got better shoes and now I have blood blisters on the bottom of my toes :( :(

    Kathy had problems after the Dark Side last year too. She had horrible bruising on her toes and two toenails fall off. Through discussing with Heather it turned out her shoes happened to be half a size too small and her toes were getting jammed in. So she got new shoes and has been better.

    @Breesmommy5 I would definitely recommend looking at your shoes. If you haven’t already, I would get properly fitted at a shoe store like Fleet Feet. A lot of people are tempted to choose their shoes based on price, or what they look like, but there are so many different types of shoe it’s possible that you’re not running in the best shoe for you. On top of that, your needs can change the longer you run. Also like @nascfan said, you running shoe size can be different to your regular shoe size. I wear 1 size up due to the cushioning in the socks I wear and how much my feet swell when I’m running. Some people have to go more than that. Another consideration is the size of your feet. I have very narrow feet so I wear a regular width shoe, but some people need wider shoes. Finally, make sure your socks are good because that could be it too. Pure cotton socks will soak up all the sweat and running in wet socks can cause blisters. It’s not uncommon to still get blisters and nails falling off from running, but there are definitely steps to take to help prevent it! :)
