Hello hello hello! I hate that so many of you are dealing with terrible weather :(

This morning finally actually felt like fall here! Love it. Of course remind me of this mid October when it’s windy and still 80+ out

I woke up and got my butt out the door and it felt Amazing! Some of you know this but I’ll be running marathon #10 next month. It’s on almost the same course marathon #1 was on some I’m pretty excited for it. I’m nowhere near as trained as I should be but I know my legs will get me to the end. The main thing I’m focusing on is sleep and nutrition. Both are weak spots for me so I’m trying extra hard to focus on those two things for the next few months.

    Wish me luck!

Wahooooo! Way to go @missingwdw! So proud of you!

Been doing my regular thing all summer, rope drops with jogging thrown in. Six or so 5k’s with my wife. Now we’ve gone and registered for a virtual 5k the week of Halloween with her! Never did one of these but the medal is Haunted Mansion themed! Thank you Heather for finding that for us! It should be fun and we just might get one of her co-workers to do it with us.

For the entire Summer I’ve been focused on being able to exercise (not including the push-up challenge) either 5 or 6 days a week. To accomplish that and avoid injury almost all of my runs are either walk/runs (http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/run-walk) or Fartlek (https://www.runnersworld.com/fartlek). They are similar in that you switch between walking/slow run to faster run/sprints. My goal is to be out between 45 – 75 minutes. I hardly ever do an outing where I stay at the same pace the whole time.

I work out of my home office so getting outside almost every day and for an average of about an hour is important to me. Most of these runs are between 3-4 miles a day. I wear a fitbit and I average about 37-45 miles a week including the runs. Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. :)

Hey everyone. Wanted to talk to you guys about something I just noticed in the full length mirror in our restroom at work. I have what’s known as an anterior pelvic tilt. This is a condition caused by sitting to much. It basically causes your to rotate your pelvis forward and causes tightening of the ham strings and the lower spinal region. If you are experience lower back pain post exercise, this may be the cause.

    I found some guidance here:

and exercises to use in conjunction:

@missingwdw I had the same thing and I was over the moon at how cool it was! Our temps in the mornings have been mid 70s and 95-100% humidity. I got 3.1 miles in at 10:21 pace this morning. It’s amazing how to people will see the same thing differently. :D
