missingWDW183 XPChanged my music around on my playlist and it kept me movin’!
Leg still feeling good, although I was tired during this run. But, I was super busy today and barely ate anything all day. I knew I’d be hurting, but I didn’t want to skip the run. I’ll have to pay closer attention to my meals next time!March 18, 2018 at 7:32 pm #69978@missingwdw awesome run! You did incredible for a regular pace, let alone being tired! Super speedy! I’m so glad your leg is still feeling good!
March 18, 2018 at 7:39 pm #69979@starbee it’s going great! We’re getting in a good couple sessions in at the track per week on average and another mall walk. I hit the halls every day at lunch too. We’ve been doing 2.45 miles at the track at a “for pace” every Sunday morning and we’re averaging a little less than 14:30 per mile. Not too long ago we did it in a 14:10 per mile pace with a 14 flat first mile! Today we stretched it to 2.6 miles (an extra lap). Our pace showed that we had too big of a breakfast, a mistake we won’t make again. But we were still under 14:50. I text Heather each Sunday with our results but I don’t really put them in here. I don’t really feel worthy to do that when people are putting up sub 10 minute miles and feeling slow. But for us, I’m very satisfied! And we are way below the 16 minute mile required for Disney!
March 18, 2018 at 11:02 pm #69984Started out this morning and my body was like, “Ummmm. Thought we were done with these pre-dawn runs. WTFIGMENT???”
My legs were so fatigued. Maybe the 2 bowls of multigrain Cheerios and the 8 Girl Scout cookies wasn’t the best dinner choice last night. Softball/Baseball season is rough, I tell ya. Damn kids. I’ll have to try a different approach next time
2.15 miles
10:34/ mileOh man, I hate time change too! My body is all confused again on what time to get up! Way to go on getting out there in the dark again!!!! It’s amazing how improper nutrition really effects our runs! But you still pulled a great pace!
March 18, 2018 at 11:08 pm #69985Got my second run of this week in yesterday after work. It was 78* and sunny, the hottest weather I’ve run in for a long time! We went to the trail and hubby walked Trixie and Leia ran with me. 2 min walk/30 min run. This was the hardest it’s been for quite a while. This is my second week running these ratios and I don’t know if it was the heat, or running after a long day at work, but it was a challenge to finish, I was so glad to be done! I clock watched a lot which I haven’t done in a while. 10 minutes left, 6 minutes left, 4 minutes left, 2 minutes left, I couldn’t stop checking the timer. But I made it through and plan to run again tomorrow.
Total Time: 32:00
Total Distance: 2.80 miles
Total Running Time: 30:00I am going to die during PT in San Antonio
Man! Your temps really jumped up!! That really slows the body down and makes you struggle for sure! I don’t do well over 65*! And I’m sure your body was trying to adapt from your adjustment as well. It put your body in a new running position. But way to stick with your ration and get it done!
March 18, 2018 at 11:11 pm #69986@10dedfish Wow!!! Great miles and fantastic pace!!! I’m glad the rain stopped for you to get out there!!!!!!
March 18, 2018 at 11:13 pm #69987@missingWDW Great job getting out for a couple of miles!! And your pace was amazing!!!! I’m sorry your food has been off lately. Be sure to keep an eye on that to give yourself proper fuel for your runs!
March 18, 2018 at 11:14 pm #69988@nascfan You and Kathy did fantastic!!! At least you learned the valuable lesson of not eating too heavy of a meal before you go out for a training session! Better to learn that now than on race day! I am proud of you both though! Still holding a great pace!! Don’t ever feel you shouldn’t post your sessions on here! Be proud of each and every training session you get in!! We are here to cheer you on big bro!!
March 19, 2018 at 7:08 am #69990@eeyorepoohfan thank you so much! This is one reason I do make sure to text you each Sunday. Your support, encouragement, and cheers are invaluable to Kathy and me. I really cannot thank you enough!
March 19, 2018 at 9:43 am #70010@starbee I’m so glad they were able to figure out what is causing you pain and have a plan to fix it! I’m sorry you’ll be going through some vacation withdraw, but as Scott said, it’s better that your body is well. And don’t rule out stay-cations if you have the time off. I do those once or twice a year, and while they’re not Disney or the beach, I still enjoy the rest Good job on your runs!
March 19, 2018 at 9:46 am #70011@10dedfish Glad the rain gave you a break for a good run! I’m NOT looking forward to returning to the dreadmill when it’s 40 and wet here Winter needs to go away!
March 19, 2018 at 9:48 am #70012@missingwdw Your pace looks great! Especially considering you were tired and such. Glad your leg is feeling good so you can keep going!
March 19, 2018 at 9:53 am #70013@nascfan Glad to see you’re still out walking! And please don’t discourage yourself from posting your times on here! My times aren’t usually sub-10 minutes either with my walk/runs. I’m glad and grateful that you spend time on here encouraging all of us and I’d like to encourage you and celebrate your progress as well
