    I admire those of you that can run and do. I personally just don’t like it. I try to do cardio tho so hopefully when the zombie apocalypse comes I at least have a fighting chance. And I am not a fruit fan so I’ll just stick to veggies. :)

    LOL LOL
    Yes, I am right there with you. I don’t care to run but I admire those who do too. What do you like to do for cardio instead of running?

    @Nascfan Thanks, it’s taking much longer than I anticipated! Hey I didn’t realize so many of us were running 5ks tomorrow – that’s so awesome! Good luck pals!

    At this stage, I don’t like it! I did back in HS when I ran track, but now I’ve gotten so terrible at it I don’t enjoy it at all. But I’m hoping that day will return where it’s enjoyable again. Yes! Same with me, if the zombie apocalypse came upon us now, I would not be ready! LOL

    I used to do kickboxing. It was a lot of fun! My class we didn’t fight each other or anything, it was all a personal workout. My class did a little of everything: weights, abs, cardio, kicking, punching, etc. to try to get a full body workout. It was so great! I stopped to save money now I have free gym membership where I worked, but I can’t do a workout by myself as good as that one!

    Today is my last “off” day. Gonna get my mile walk in during my morning break and then tomorrow hit the roads for my regular morning run.
    It’s been a great vacation running but I’m excited to get back at it.

    To everyone who is on the C25K train, keep pushing. I promise it gets easier the more you do it.

    @starbee I love eating fruit too. I am enjoying that it’s summer and there is a lot of good fruit available to buy right now. When it comes to my lunches and dinners more than anything I am trying to watch my portions. For the most part I’m still eating normal stuff but I’m trying not to eat too much. I haven’t gone crazy and only eating salads 3 times a day. I’m also trying not to eat too in between meals. A little healthy snack is okay to eat. That’s when I might have a bite of fruit. I saw your post from yesterday about running. Don’t get too discouraged! You’ll get there, it just takes time & it’s a slow/painful process. But I know you “can you go the distance” you just need to “just keep swimming!” :nemo: :dory:

    I saw your post about the kickboxing. You are right it is fun and gives you a full body workout. I have a couple work out videos with kick boxing and a little weight training. I should probably dig those out of them drawer. They would be good for when it’s too hot outside or it’s a rainy day.

    How did your virtual marathon go??

    Well, we just did our 5k, in 46:37! We crushed the 16 minute mile pace, this was just a hair over 15 minutes per mile! Wooo! I am so proud of my wife, I was definitely strongly “encouraging” her for.the last mile. I knew the pace we were cranking out and wanted her to finish at that and be happy with herself. She was! Star Wars Dark Side here we come!

    @disneybug I can’t go 6 hours between meals so I snack in the morning and again in the afternoon when I’m at work, but always eat fruit for those snacks. I’m glad it’s summer too so that fruit isn’t crazy expensive and tastes good! Thanks for asking about my Virtual 5k, it didn’t go as well as I had hoped unfortunately. I did much better on my last 5k! I was encouraged to do a Couch to 5K plan and that’s what I’ve been sticking with for training and my run today but I didn’t do as well as when I just made up my own run and walk time. But I am keeping at my training and I have two more 5ks to go!

    @Nascfan
    You whooped my butt! You walked a 5k and did so much better than me running half of mine LOL if mine was an actual runDisney race today I would’ve gotten swept :'(

    So I ran my first 5k of the runDisney Virtual Running Shorts series today. I did much worse than my last 5k in November. Oh well, I did 3.1 and that’s all that matters I guess. Better luck next time :down:

    @starbee I can’t go that long in between meals either. Sounds like you are making good decisions for your snacks! :up: I’m sorry things didn’t go as well as you had hoped for. But hey the up side is you did it and you are sticking with your training! That’s something to be proud of! :up: :ears: :star:

    We basically took much of this week off due to our intense heat, we hit 110* Thursday and Friday. It just drains you! But we finally dropped into the high 90’s today, they called it our cold front! LOL I took the dog on a 1.25 mile walk then went to the gym. I did the stair master and climbed 61 flights in 19 minutes!
