@kcboston That sounds like my nightmare but looks like you crushed it! Way to go! Do you want to synchronize time on Saturday or just run the same day?

Ok so I was getting ready to head out the door when I noticed the low, dull roar. Rain. And then the clouds let go and it absolutely poured. My running buddy texted me and said she was going back to bed. No run this morning. :'(

I hate that! When you’re all prepped and ready and then… rain!

First run of the week today! I will be running my first Virtual Running Shorts 5k on Saturday :D

I finally progressed to a new week. This is technically Week 5 but I’m on Week 4 of my fitness plan. Today I did 2 min run/2 min walk for 1 mile, my time was 13:39  I did better than I thought but it wasn’t easy!

Great job @starbee! Don’t get hung up on what week should be what week, just keep doing.

@Nascfan Thanks for the encouragement! I’m a little disappointed that I’m not rocking it as well as @kcboston, but I’m in Week 5 of consistent running 3 times a week so I’m happy with that!

@starbee don’t compare yourself. It’s not the Olympics. The only person you are going up against is you. As long as you continue, as long as you do your best, whatever that best is on a particular day, it’s a victory.

@10dedfish That’s a bummer Matt! Could you go back to sleep since you had coffee?

No, unfortunately the Navy beat that trait out of me a long time ago. If I got back to bed I get a headache. So I just sat on the couch and read.

What Scott said! This is my problem too :D

I need someone to make sure I run tonight. Even if just a mile. It’s so hot out that I know I’m going to try and talk myself out of it.

We can try to synchronize! I was going to try to run in the late morning, I have a couple of appointments that day and was hoping to sandwich it in there. :)

And you’re doing awesome, the only person you are competing against is the you that would have been sitting on the couch instead of doing this!

Okay! Let me know a rough time when you’ve got one in mind  I was thinking of around 9am CST

@10dedfish Bummer! I can’t fall back asleep once I’m up or awake either. At least you had some quiet time!

@starbee You are doing great! Don’t ever feel you need to compare yourself! I had to let that go a long time ago! I’ve been running much longer than my husband yet he can whoop my butt on pace! I had to remind myself that I’m thankful that my body can run and to just do my best each and every time I go out! I have struggle days and crappy run days, but I never regret a single run! You will notice those small victories over time and embrace them!

@bexruns Did you get out for your run? We are miserably hot this week and not likely running until this weekend when we get closer to normal.

So due to our crazy high temps this week, we are taking a run rest week. We went to the gym just to get some escalator stair master work in. It was our first time doingbthis do we took it easy. In 13 minutes I climbed 42 flights of stairs! It felt like an hour! Working on getting the glutes and quads stronger!!
