DizLuvrKAli83 XPI read an article in the New York Times today about all the money Disney is investing in the parks, particularly Hollywood Studios. They displayed a map of where all the changes are being made and they had Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster flagged.
I thought it be fun to play Imagineer and hear what we’d all like to see this re-imagined as… if we’d like to see one at all.
Personally, I think it’d be fun if they had an Indiana Jones Roller Coaster, like the one they have in Disneyland Paris. I could totally imagine them having it indoors, using the same track and they could even have it as a “dark” roller coaster. Take some of the ideas they have from the Disneyland Indiana Jones Adventure attraction but make it a roller coaster.
What would you like to see replace Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster??

November 16, 2018 at 12:47 pm #95116I think it would be cool if they had a Disney Junior ride. For all the littles. They would have to slow it down obviously, but they really should have something that caters to DJ kids.
November 16, 2018 at 2:08 pm #95121I’ve never ridden that ride because it is too loud and too fast, so it would be nice to have something a little more tame.
November 16, 2018 at 9:09 pm #95139I think last year or the year before I noticed that pretty much all the RnRC merchandise was re-branded and missing any Aerosmith logos or affiliation. I know it could just be a licensing issue but it got me thinking they may be cutting ties or removing the ride altogether I really hope not!
November 17, 2018 at 11:14 am #95144i love rock n rollercoaster!! hands down one of my favorite rides!! i think it’d be cool though if they got a different band, like the rolling stones or even the red hot chili peppers (which is totally just a fantasy that’ll never happen )

nancyg108 XPI love this ride and hope they don’t slow it down! I feel like there are lots of other options of not-too-fast coasters in DW. I could take or leave the whole Aerosmith aspect.

I agree! The “thrill” rides are declining, I think they need to keep a good balance of both. Aerosmith is my favorite band so I’m partial to them being featured in the ride

“UPDATE: The Walt Disney Company has come out and stated that The New York Times article cited below is incorrect.” -From WDW News Today article on the subject (not always reliable, but it works)
This seems like baloney to me. I wouldn’t mind a band change, especially since most of today’s generation has never heard of Aerosmith. I didn’t even learn about the band until my first ride on this when I was 8. As for the ride itself and the plot, I hope that stays. It’s a fun ride.

November 17, 2018 at 9:01 pm #95178I’m at the ripe old age of 16 So you’re probably not that old
November 18, 2018 at 12:46 am #95184Yeah, I totally loved Aerosmith when I was about 10 or so. They’ve gone through a few generations. My dad was a fan back when Aerosmith was young!
