Has anyone ever stayed at Port Orleans: Riverside before? I’m staying there in September and I want to know what it’s like
Yup, stayed there a few times…. we liked it but prefer French Quarter due to its smaller size… other than that, no negatives that I remember
Awesome! Do you know if those “royalty” rooms cost extra? I’m gonna guess they do but they just look so beautiful i want to stay in one!
It’s our favorite resort!!!! We’ve stayed there 4 or 5 times now! The next time will be next month! As soon as I get to this resort, I completely relax! We love the boat to/from Disney Springs! The grounds are beautiful! We’ve stayed in Alligator Bayou once, it wasn’t our favorite because there are only 3 tiny drawers for clothing! Very impractical! And those rooms are designed for families of 5! We usually stay in the Mansion in the Acadia House and love this area! Close to the North bus stop and a quick walk to the food court. The Royal Guest rooms typically run more than the standard rooms. My sister and her family stayed in one in January and they liked it! I believe they were able to get it on the sale price, but it was still more than what we payed for our standard room with a courtyard view. We have no complaints about this resort! There are a total of 4 bus stops though, so keep that in mind! The Main stop by the food court is usually the last pickup before heading to a theme park.

i figured the royal rooms were more lol so we’re not going to be staying in one. i’m actually not sure which building we’re staying in but it’s just me and my mom for four days so either one is fine! i hope you have fun next month!
You’re very welcome!!! You will likely end up in one of the mansion buildings (my favorite) or alligator Bayou. Both areas are nice, but the Bayou can get confusing since there are so many buildings and trails. You will find out your building once you check in! Use the My Disney Experience app to help you navigate the resort! It really can be helpful on your first day or two while you are getting used to the grounds! I hope you and your mom have fun!! We are looking forward to our next stay!

Oh yea! I’m so glad Heather answered! She’s stayed there a ton and knows a lot! We’ve only stayed at FQ but have been over there several times. It really is a beautiful resort. The boat to Downtown Disney Springs is such a great relaxing ride. And it’s and easy walk to FQ if you desire.
Yeah she’s been really helpful!! And oh sweet I didn’t realize there was a boat to Downtown Disney! Me and my mom plan on spending our last day there to kill time before the Tragical Express
FQ looks beautiful though! I love the slight Mardi Gras theme!I hate Alligator Bayou. Too confusing and average rooms. I didn’t mind the old timey charm of the resort, but the atmosphere didn’t feel all too great to me. Eating establishments are okay. And the boat ride back from Disney Springs always has a ridiculously long line.

XPI’m staying here for the first time this June! I visited this resort once before, but it was still Dixie Landings back then and I may or may not have been an infant at the time.
Anyway, I managed to snag a room with a King Size bed. Does anyone know if those rooms are more likely to have a good view or be in a certain spot of the building? No biggy if not, just curious.
