I’m trying to think ahead to what we need/want in our park bags for our trip next week. It’s just me and my mom on this trip so, no kid’s stuff to worry about this time.

So far, I have a rain poncho, a hat, Advil, tissues, and a refillable water bottle. With the weather turning cooler at night, I plan to stuff a hoodie in there, too.

What are your can’t-live-withouts, your nice-to-haves and your just-in-cases in your park bag?

    My park bag usually has:

    -Sunglasses
-Small billfold with my DL, any gift cards I have to use, and a credit card in case my MB stops working (I’ve had that happen before)
    -Tylenol
    -Band aids
    -Hand sanitizer
    -Chap stick
-Power pack for my phone (it never lasts all day at the parks)
    -Phone
-Spreadsheet with FPs and ADRs for if the phone dies
-Packable rain jacket for if it rains

Depending on the weather I may also throw in a hoodie. Sometimes I also bring my GoPro

You’ve got a great start Connie! I would also chime in with a few bandaids and hand sanitizer. I know there are first aid stations in the parks but sometimes you just might need a bandaid right now. And 30,000 people are touching every, single, thing. Can’t discount the importance of the hand sanitizer. Sunscreen is very important also. It may be winter but it’s still Florida strength sun. We also always have a ziplock bag or two in there for the mug after it’s empty. Saves from having to worry about any extra spillage and protects things nicely.

prob a lot of the same as @starbee
    -$1 throw away ponchos (wal-mart)
-wand wipes since i don’t like sanitizer
    -phone
-small wallet with cash, gift cards, credit cards
-paper list of my fast passes and dinner reservation confirmation numbers (I agree with starbee…never plan on the phone 100%)
    -chapstick and extra hair ponies
-band aids, kleenex, iburofen and motion sickness pills!
    -mints

hat/sunglasses are hard for me cuz usually i don’t end up using them and it is just more to carry. I don’t usually bring my mug either but I see so many people doing that i am thinking of bringing a caribiner and dragging it along this time. i saw people filling them at restaurants!!

    Great stuff!

We both wear glasses that tint themselves so, no need for extra sunglasses.
I always carry a cap because when it rains, I have a full-on hatred of my face getting wet – and my glasses getting speckled.
I will add bandaids and moleskin and chapstick.
Oh, need to add a couple packs of gum too!
And, yes, ziplocs of varying sizes are ALWAYS quite handy even if you don’t know what you’re going to use them for.

I hadn’t thought of having the FPs and ADRs written down. I should do that. And, I think I do have a power pack for my phone someplace… I need to try and find it. It’s probably stuffed in an old purse that I haven’t used in a while…

I forgot about that! I also throw a Ziploc or two in there to protect my electronics from getting wet on rides like Splash Mountain

    extra hair ponies

I forgot about that too! I always have one or two hair ties with me because I like to tie my hair back on the coasters

I hadn’t thought of having the FPs and ADRs written down. I should do that

On our last trip there was at least one day when MDE was having issues and the app kept giving us an error message every time we opened it so we couldn’t do anything with it. I was so glad to have our FP times written down so I knew what we had and didn’t miss any when we couldn’t access the app! Also looking at a piece of paper for your FPs each time instead of checking them on the MDE app will save your phone some juice

    My park bag usually has:

-a 32 oz. water bottle (I pack a travel size Dawn to clean it with nightly.)
    -Snacks
    -Poncho
    -Wall charger
    -Portable Charger
    -Band-aid
-Jacket if its going to be cold
-I have a clear cosmetic style bag that I put stuff in so the security guards can see the contents without having to open it. There were a few security guards that seemed to appreciate the clear bag.
In the cosmetic bag I have:
    -Floss
    -small mirror
    -rubber bands
    -chapstick
-a travel sized Lysol (I use this to spray toilet seats down.)
-Poo~Pourri “Spray the loo before No. 2 and no one will ever have a clue.” LOL
    -Hand sanitizer

We always have our FPs written down too but that sheet goes in my pocket instead of the backpack.

I found a good trick to use last time we were at Disney regarding the FP’s and Dining reservations. I would take a screen shot of them in the MDE app every morning, and then set that as my phone’s lock screen. That way I didn’t have to keep track of a piece of paper, and I didn’t have to keep opening the app. I saved a lot of battery for my phone that way, because I could keep it on airplane mode, but still see the plans for the day.

Great idea! I will also jot down all my FPs, one day at Studios there was no wifi which means I couldn’t get into my MDE and since my phone line is in Canada it would have been way expensive to use so I had GS write them down for me.

That’s a good idea to save some time at bag check!
