…continued…
FLASHBACK – I forgot to mention that before the Muster Drill and Dinner there was a Disney Vacation Club member preview in the D Lounge (where the family activities take place before you reach the adult-oriented District Lounges). We popped in there having received and invite by our stateroom door and a phone call a couple of days before the cruise and it was a lot of fun! They provided complementary bottled water and a mixed alcoholic beverage that I wasn’t familiar with but was very good. They gave some DVC info on what they’ve done lately and what new stuff they’re getting ready to do as well as had some fun team games. They divided the room into 2 teams, Team Buzz and Team Woody. We were on Team Buzz. One of the games had a volunteer from a team put 5 Disney things in chronological order in under 60 seconds. I knew my time had come. I volunteered for Team Buzz. I put Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort, Vero Beach Resort, The Incredibles, Disney Shanghai, and Copper Creek Villas in the correct order in 15 seconds and for that I got a lovely DVC drawstring bag! All DVC members had the opportunity to get free DVC hats too, which we happily did.
FLASHFORWARD – After dinner we had the option of seeing Beauty and the Beast on stage in the Walt Disney Theatre, but since it was going to take place on two nights, we opted instead to visit the room and then go to Ultimate Disney Trivia in Pub 687. On the way back we spotted some fun stateroom door decorations (photos). Our turn down service left us Ghirardelli chocolates and a Blanket Sea Turtle We got to see a great sunset from the verandah!

After a great rest on the verandah (photo), we departed our humble stateroom. We put magnets on our door too (the blue and white DVC welcome magnet was something they put on there for us): we put on the white DVC magnet, a Disney Hilton Head Island Resort magnet and one depicting a full lobster tank, with one of the lobsters asking, “Who farted?”
We got to Pub 687 just before Ultimate Disney Trivia and I ordered a beer. We found that they had a couple of board games there and took one off the shelf and played it while we waited and after trivia was over (photo). Ultimate Disney Trivia was really difficult! There were a number of questions about Disney’s parks in France, China, and Tokyo as well as members about now lesser known movies like Song of the South and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. We got 13 out of 25 right which made ours the winning score! The runner up had 8 right. We got DCL flashlights as a prize.
After trivia, at 11:00pm, the Walt Disney Theatre hosted the At-Sea Premier of Christopher Robin! So of course we had to go see it! They had a guy outside the theater in a suit interviewing the moviegoers coming in much like they would for celebrities at a red carpet premier in Hollywood. They broadcast the interviews inside the theater before the movie started. It was really cool the hype they put into it and the movie itself was well done! Of course Eeyore had all the best lines
After that, we ended our most eventful day and went to bed at about 1:00am looking forward to the next day of our cruise!
August 15, 2018 at 5:42 pm #85767Did they not send you a chocolate cake? I definitely ordered one to have sent to your table!
@chelle – that was scheduled for Sunday, so we did get it right on schedule! Photos to come with that update – SPOILER ALERT – It was delicious and huge!August 15, 2018 at 7:00 pm #85770

We played Ultimate Disney Trivia. That’s all we had time for after we prioritized what we wanted to see/do on our short cruise. It was fun!

August 26, 2018 at 7:28 pm #86720What an awesome start to your trip!! I love that you had plenty of time to explore the ship before you even left the port! A great way to get your bearings and see where you want to spend more time at later. The food looks so amazing!!!!! Your room looks great and I love that extended balcony! I think we would be willing to splurge for that too!
September 9, 2018 at 8:50 pm #88217Wow, this boat looks so cool! Especially the Oceaneer’s Club, I wish that was for all ages! And spectacular views too!
13 out of 25!?! Yeesh, that must be a very difficult trivia game!September 11, 2018 at 10:31 am #88376Wow, this boat looks so cool! Especially the Oceaneer’s Club, I wish that was for all ages! And spectacular views too! 13 out of 25!?! Yeesh, that must be a very difficult trivia game!
@sej101 I honestly believe that 90% of the people who could’ve competed with me in Ultimate Disney Trivia are on this website. You have to eat, sleep, drink, breathe, and play Disney to get most of those questions. -
