    Hey pals! :)

I don’t want to jinx it but it’s looking like I will be heading to Orlando for some Air Force training next year! If possible I plan to stay through the weekend (on my own dime) so that I can go to Disney World since I had to cancel my WDW vacation this year due to Air Force training :( I have never been for such a short period of time. If you had just one weekend at WDW, what would you do? Which parks? Where would you eat, or would you skip ADRs?

That’s awesome! I hope it works out for you! I would definitely skip ADR’s. We don’t do that many on a longer trip, a weekend one just seems too short to me to take that much time for table service. Even though Toy Story Land is very cute and Slinky Dog is so much fun, I’d skip Studios, unless I could very early pre-rope drop that park for Toy Story Land with no fastpasses and then hop over to Epcot. MK would definitely be a must for me. Depending on the number of days, it would be tough to choose AK or Epcot. Me personally, I’d go with AK if I had to choose I think. But others will disagree and have their own choices I’m sure.

@Nascfan Thanks for your input! It’s looking pretty likely, the training is mandatory for me within an 18 month period that started in November of this year. Since 2 others from my unit are going in the spring they said it would be better for me to go with them and knock it out then. It’s just everything is so last minute with the Air Force LOL do you know when Flower & Garden starts? I may be there during that time. That could push me toward Epcot but I agree with you, I think MK is a must!

Oooo, so exciting! Fingers crossed it goes through! :dopey:
As stated above, I’d skip ADRs and the Studios. Flower and Garden runs from Mar. 6 – June 3 this year, so if that’s something you’re interested in, then I’d hit Epcot. My personal picks would be DAK or Epcot. But if possible, I’d really advise park hopping. Knock out all of Animal Kingdom in the day then head to Magic Kingdom or Epcot is what I’d do. But it’s your call.

@SEJ101 Thank you! :) I would like to explore Pandora some more at night if I get the chance. MK is a must, I’m thinking about adding one more park, most likely Epcot because I’ll be there for Flower & Garden which I’ve never done before. I would likely skip Studios unless I can park hop. I would walk over there from Epcot if I had a FP to use, but otherwise I could leave that park.

Here is my $.02… if you have a must do restaurant, I’d do an ADR… since it is a short visit, I’d just go to your most favorite park and spend time there then go to your 2nd favorite park etc… no sense in running around like a chicken with its head cut off…

If Pandora at night for you is a must or a huge desire, you could maybe try to knock out all of Epcot in a day and head over to DAK in the evening or night. It would all depend on how much Epcot you want to do and get done.

I like your thoughts on Epcot for Flower and Garden, especially with not being there before. I would totally do that! And thank you for the dates Stephen!

I was kind of thinking that, since it’s been a while since we were at WDW and there are some places I like to eat at that hubby doesn’t. Or maybe I should skip it and see where the weekend takes me :)

@Nascfan I would need to do some research because I don’t know anything really about Flower & Garden! :surprised:

Oh my goodness, you would love it! Even if it’s enjoying all the topiaries! And it’s two different parks, day and night, since the topiaries are lit up. So pretty! And it’s become a mini food festival with the booths they have! A lot of fresh food too, in keeping with the theme. Kathy and I love it and have really enjoyed the food!

@Nascfan I didn’t know they light up! I’d heard a little about the food booths but I don’t really know much about it. But I do know that I love food ;)

You will love Flower & Garden if you can! The food offerings have grown so much the past few years. I really think Kathy and I liked some of the items there better than some from Food & Wine. Oh, and that’s the festival that they have the chocolate macaron at! Oh my gosh, heaven on a stick!

That’s another way… throw caution to the wind and wing it! Either way, you’ll be there… how bad can it be?
