October Meet Up

Last night I was looking at Resorts for our stay for the D-Cot October meet up. We are for sure going to stay at a Value Resort since it will just be a quick weekend trip for us… however….. @cammelot asked me where everyone else is staying because perhaps we would try to stay at the same place. Sooooooo the questions are:
1. Have you already booked a resort?
2. If so… which one?
3. If not… where are you planning to stay?
I have no idea if that is even possible for me to join but is everyone going to parks that weekend? What are your plans for the duration?
We plan on doing 3 days in the parks… HS for sure because Toy Story Land will be open !!! Also EPCOT and MK. I’d like to go for longer, but we will be leaving for Disneyland the following month and will be expensive
@acamm, of course that is what is making me wonder if it’s at all possible, the
! Park tickets for just a few days are mucho expensivo, plus airfare, plus hotel. Unless I stay with my friend Megan in Mount Dora. Airfare for me would be at least 300$, quite the expensive weekend! 
Not sure how many years it will be until I can go again but I wanted to add that we stayed for a couple of nights at Pop in Feb. and the remodeled rooms are so nice. They are well designed with the table that changes into a bed, reasonably sized fridge and HUGE TV. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of storage spots as well. The shower was very nice! Way better than the shower at Kidani. I would definitely stay here again.
@stupidjudy I totally understand… we are trying to do this on the CHEAP too!
3 day park tix are super expensive. If we were going to WDW in November instead of DL, we would consider getting an annual pass, but it won’t work for us thisyear!!!
@Grumpytude I forgot all about the remodeled rooms! Hmmmm… you may be swaying our decision
@acamm you should totally book a new room at Pop! As you know we almost stayed there but switched to Coronado (and did NOT regret it!)
If I could swing it, I would probably stay with a friend and MAYBE go to one park for a day, HS is so tempting for Toy Story Land, dying to ride the Slinky Dog Coaster! But I could totally see myself spending the day at Epcot wandering World Showcase. It’s nice to dream!

If you do book a trip… we will def spend the day together at Epcot with you!!! 
Pop is definitely our Value of choice. It’s where we stay when it’s just us two.
We are coming in Friday, haven’t decided on which flight yet but it would be one of the first couple out of Detroit so we’d at least have late afternoon/evening in a park. We are there the entire next week until Sunday 10/21. That will be an earlier flight out though.
The only group D-cot thing decided so far is the meet Saturday afternoon at Downtown Disney Springs but I’m sure there will be opportunities for other times throughout. It may not be everyone but certainly smaller groups. Studios could make sense for Friday or Saturday early. Keep that in mind as we plan more, k?Sounds terrific! You’re so lucky to be staying until the 21st!!!
We are! I can talk my wife into most Disney things pretty easily. She knows when to pick her battles.
And it’s our last trip for a while so we figured might as well do it up right, have some time to enjoy the Halloween and Food & Wine offerings, etc. It’ll be her first F&W!
