7:15am alarm but somehow I managed to wake up a little bit before it went off. We got ready and were at the food court by 8:30am. So we just filled our mug and ate granola bars from our pack at the bus stop to Hollywood Studios. We were on our bus at 8:50am but didn’t get dropped off until 9:25am due to a huge traffic backup. It took several light cycles to even be able to turn into HS. We were in the park at 9:30am. We went straight to Slinky since we hadn’t been able to get a FP for it. The line posted a 105 minute wait and we decided we were willing to wait since this was our only chance to ride it on this trip. We ended up being on in 70 minutes! We thought we were going to have to miss our TSMM FP’s but figured it would be worth it. Slinky was such a smooth and fun coaster! We ended up in the last row and could really hear the tail spring noises! It was lots of fun and we can’t wait to ride it again! We immediately booked it over to TSMM and made it at end of our grace period on the end of our FP time at 10:45am and checked in at 10:55am! We both scored really high for us, both well over $200,000. Ryan and I managed to get two of the bonus screens to open up so that helps us to score higher than usual. Ryan still beat me as usual. But I was super proud of my score so I didn’t mind at all! We went to Pizza Rizzo for Gluten Free pepperoni for me and standard pepperoni pizza for Ryan. We got a nice quiet table upstairs. Again, we were thankful for air conditioning and the free drink refills! We hustled over to catch the end of our Tower of Terror FP at 12:05pm. Then immediately used our RnRC FP at 12:25pm, standby was 70 minutes. Got a FP for Figment for 2:10pm. We walked a few shops in HS and grabbed Starbucks before catching the boat to head to EPCOT. We were on our boat at 1:15pm. We decided to get off at Yacht Club so we could fill up our mug at the drink station outside of their pool. We also refilled our water in our pack since we were about out. We strolled to the International Gateway and went to walk the store in Japan. It was another hot day so we were trying to find ways to stay cool. We backtracked and made our way to our Figment FP. We were able to grab a Living with the Land FP for 3:05pm. We then went and rode Nemo with about a 5 minute wait. We got stopped for about 10 minutes and I had the dialogue memorized very quickly there! LOL We stopped and watched the manatees for a good 5-10 minutes. They are so relaxing to watch! I had received a text from Scott a bit before this that they had landed and then again when they were on their way to EPCOT from POP. We went and used our Land FP and I got a text that Scott and Kathy were in the park and would meet us at the exit of Living with the Land! Biggest squishy hugs commenced when I saw them! We chatted and hugged while we walked them to their SSE FP. Ryan and I went to the Light Lab and got the Cider Flight to try. They were yummy, our favorite was the Zen Berry Hard Cider. Then to the Cheese Studio for the Braised Beef Stroganoff and the Maple Bourbon Boursin Cheesecake (holy cow, yum). We stopped at Australia for the Lamb Chop (always good). We walked in one of the shops there while we waited for Scott and Kathy. I stopped at the Almond Orchard and got a Banana Almond Soft Serve Sundae (it was not as creamy as ice cream but easier on my stomach, it was descent for what it was). While we ate that, Ryan went back to Australia because it was right next to us and he got the Sweet and Spicy Berry Shrimp and really liked it. Next stop was Canada for the Beef Filet and the cheese soup! It was so hot out that it was hard to enjoy it. But they were yummy. Brazil for the Crispy Pork Belly, I always like this one. Morocco for Hummus Fries. They seemed to have an extra spicy kick to them this year! Or maybe it seemed that way since it was so hot outside! LOL But they had great flavor. Scott and Kathy went to use their Frozen FP. Ryan and I grabbed a Strawberry and Tangerine Kakigori with Sweet Cream in Japan. That really helped to cool us down. We ate it at a picnic table at the America Pavilion. Ryan went and grabbed a double shot Strawberry Sunrise. This is such a yummy drink! While we sat and enjoyed our treats Ryan decided to grab a Lobster Roll at Hops & Barley at the America Pavilion. He said it was the best he’s ever had! He tied this with the Flank Steak at the Flavors of Fire booth as his favorites. Scott and Kathy met us at the America Pavilion and we went and watched the American Adventure to cool off and Ryan napped. Did I mention how hot it was? Seriously, this was our hottest trip we’ve ever taken and we’ve gone in August before! We stopped in Germany again for more caramel corn and chocolate caramel. We all strolled through Mouse Gears. We got group pics at the front on our way out. We said goodnight to Scott and Kathy as we went to our separate bus stops. We caught our bus by 8:45pm back to French Quarter. We strolled FQ when Ryan remembered we wanted to pre-register for their fun Beignet Dash on Sunday morning (a 1.4 mile fun run). So we stopped in to register at the concierge. We filled our mug and continued strolling along the river and by the buildings. This is such a relaxing resort to stroll around! We saw a couple of horse and buggies out on our walk. We were back in our room by 9:15pm. Lights out at 10:30pm.
    Miles logged 12.

I can’t stop smiling reading this! I couldn’t believe you were up when I texted about boarding! Slinky Dog is awesome! I’m so happy you stuck it out and rode it! The Nemo ride! We felt so bad for you! :nemo: :dory: LOL
Oh that hug!!! Goodness that felt SO GOOD!!! That was the best afternoon and evening! The soft serve tasted so good didn’t it? It was hot but that steak from Canada, oh so yum! I’m glad we saw American Adventure, that was a nice break! It was just SO WONDERFUL to see you again! Great, great day!

Smart thinking on Slinky Dog rope drop! I’m so glad you made it and even made it to Mania!!! And you had such a great score too!
Oh no for getting stuck on Nemo! That’s always annoying. It has such short scripts for the scenes! I have to ask, which part did you get stuck in??? :surprised:
Yahoo! You finally met up with Scott! That makes me super happy! :tigger: :pooh: and then you both went separate ways like, right away, as he went on SSE LOL
Lots of food again! I’m not surprised! LOL And it sounds like you really enjoyed it all!
My goodness, this October was extremely hot! What was up with that? I thought Hurricanes were supposed to cool the place down for a while! :surprised:

If we had been to Slinky on time our wait probably would have been quite a bit shorter! But we were thankful we got done in time for our TSMM FP! We rocked our scores! On Nemo we got stuck near the beginning of the ride with Mr. Ray singing his song and the kids saying they couldn’t go explore without Nemo. And he says “I’m sure he will be along any minute now!” LOL
Yep, it was a quick hi and bye! LOL But that was due to FP’s! We weren’t gone from each other long! So much yummy food!!! It really was so stinking hot! This hurricane caused confusion for the weather! LOL

Oh no, not that part! I’ve gotten stuck there before too! It’s horrible! “Wait Mr. Ray, we can’t explore without Nemo!” :surprised:
Silly Fastpass, getting in the way! LOL SSE is at least not too long, so you really weren’t gone for long!
Why do hurricanes do that??? They cause so much confusion in everything, from people, to school, to the weather! LOL :surprised:

Yes! That’s the part! So horrible!! LOL Silly FP’s! ;) But it was a brief paying of maybe 30 minutes or so. Hurricanes like attention! LOL

Yeah it wasn’t too bad, we still had all the rest of the later afternoon and all evening together. We got to go all around WS together enjoying each other’s company and F&W, which really wasn’t bad for a Friday night! We had a wonderful time together!

Exactly! It worked out perfectly! Friday night was way better at F&W than Saturday for crowds!
