    Thursday October 11th:
6am alarm. We were so tired this morning with the long day yesterday. We were down to breakfast by 7:30am. Ryan got an omelet and I got the kids waffles. All yummy. We were on our bus to EPCOT just after 8am. EMH started at 8am. We knew we would be behind the curve a bit. We were dropped off at 8:20am and in line for Soarin at 8:35am! It said a 25 minute wait. I think we ended up waiting about that long since we opted to wait for top row center. We then walked right on to Living with the Land. The over to Mission Space to use our 9:45am FP, rode orange and waited a total of about 15 minutes. We then stopped into the Festival Center to pick up our AP magnet. We saw the chocolate displays and got our free chocolate caramel square too! We watched a really cool silk marbling demonstration that they put onto fabric. It was so relaxing to watch! Then off to Test Track to use our 10:45am FP’s. Standby was 60 minutes. Then SSE for our FP and that was still a 15-20 minute wait! Standby was 60 minutes. I accidentally made the most hilarious face for my SSE pic since there was a big delay from when it said to look up at the camera and when the picture was actually taken! We stopped in Starbucks for a pick-me-up and it was a long line! They were only running one side inside because they were training new CM’s on the other side. All in all it took about 20 minutes or so. We then started eating our way around the Food & Wine booths. Coastal Eats: Baked Shrimp Scamp Dip. Active Eats: Loaded Mac ‘n’ Cheese. Flavors from Fire: Piggy Wings, Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak, and Smoked Corned Beef. Earth Eats: Pink Lady Apple Kambucha. Chocolate Studio: Liquid Nitro. Chocolate-Almond Truffle. We ate the majority of these inside near the Light Lab. It was just so hot outside that it didn’t sound appealing to eat warm food outside! So it was a nice reprieve. While inside we also walked through the Light Lab to see their creations of drinks but didn’t get any. I got a FP for the Character Spot for 2:40pm. We then met Daisy at the Gazebo and got pics of her in her F&W outfit. It had a picture of a pie on her apron and so I asked her favorite pie. Turns out it is Strawberry Pie! She absolutely kept the interaction going with Ryan and myself. She was fun. She loved being called fabulous too! Off to Mexico for a boat ride with a 5 minute wait. Stopped at the China booth for Duck Bao and Shrimp Noodles. We stopped by the Fountain of Nations to get a quick pic. It was getting close to our character FP time and got there at 2:35pm. While we were inside it had started raining. So we pulled out our umbrellas and got over to Mouse Gears to browse until the rain stopped. The rain was gone quickly. We then went to Germany to get some treats! I got my dark chocolate caramel with sea salt and Ryan got his homemade caramel corn. It was super hot and humid out. So we called it at day at EPCOT. We had already planned to head back to FQ to change before the MNSSHP party. But we went back sooner to take a swim and cool down. That felt amazing! We felt refreshed and cooled down. We got dressed for the party. We were to the bus stop just before 5:30pm. They were doing repaving at the entrance by the bus stop at FQ so that had us at a temporary bus stop behind the normal one (it’s the CM bus stop). We only waited a few minutes and 2 buses pulled up for MK! Lots of families heading to the party.

We were dropped off before 6pm. Went through the event turnstiles and received our MNSSHP wrist bands. We went straight to Liberty Square to meet Jack & Sally. After wandering around a bit to find them we heard a CM say they had moved their meet and greet up to Town Hall so Jack didn’t melt in the heat. So we trecked all the way back up there again. So we lost about 20 minutes in all of that. We last met Jack and Sally out at Disneyland at least 5 years ago. So we thought this would be a good opportunity. Well, we were already behind the curve and had about an 1.5 hour wait to see them. On the positive side we were inside in air conditioning! We were in line by 6:15pm and done at 7:45pm. So it really did eat into our 7pm party start time. We then walked down the Trick or Treat trail and got a few pics and our candy bags. We were hungry so we decided to grab the special Muenster Smash Burger at Cosmic Rays. This turned into a big mistake. The lines were long. But not many places are open to get actual food during the party. It took a while to order. Then there was a kitchen backup. They kept bringing out the burger and it was missing items each time. They kept calling to the kitchen just for a side of bacon or whatever they were missing and they were ignoring the front people. The manager was even getting on them and they just rolled their eyes at her. I don’t think the staff was prepared for the crowds at all. And not trained on proper prep for the food items on the menu. We waited a total of 20 minutes to even get our correct food. The manager felt bad and asked what she could offer. Ryan was just hungry and asked for another drink and she was happy to oblige. It was not a very Disney like experience. But at least we had food in our bellies. We then stopped over to meet Stitch dressed as Elvis! He was so cute! We then got in line to meet Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and the Queen of Hearts. We missed them by 2 minutes because they had to leave to join the parade. We did some Trick or Treating. Then met Pirate Goofy with almost no line! We stopped for some magic shots and more Trick or Treat stops. We watched the Fireworks at 10:15pm. Then we headed off to Frontierland to find the Cadaver Dan’s for their 10:30 show. But no one seemed to know exactly where they met. We wandered a bit and stumbled upon them within a few minutes of them starting. It was a fun show to watch! I like the Dapper Dan’s, so this was a fun version to see of them! We stopped for Magic Shots by Haunted Mansion with the Lantern and others in the area. We then grabbed our spot in Liberty Square for the second parade. We love to grab a spot in front of Liberty Tavern because you get a great head on shot down the road. After watching the parade we took the cut through and went to ride Pirates. It was fun to see the live actors before the ride and one on the ride as well! We then went to the castle to watch the midnight Hocus Pocus stage show. We got nearly to the end and decided to leave a bit early so we could stop for some pics and magic shots on our way out. We were pooped! We were to our bus stop at 12:30am and on our bus at 12:45am. We were in our room at 1am with lights out not too long after.

Nice day! My tip for anyone wanting to attend any hard ticketed event, eat before you go… your experience (and ours, we had a similar experience) is proof of that. There is limited time and much money spent. Sounds like after that fiasco, all went well…

Yep! We had thought of eating before we left, but since we had eaten so much at F&W that day we just weren’t hungry! We suddenly got hungry during the party and needed actual food. Thankfully we had another party booked for later in the trip. So all worked out well for us! We called this our “figure out where everything is” night! LOL

You guys did the exact same thing at F&W behind Innoventions that we did on Monday! We left Kathy holding spots in the a/c while Kelly and I grabbed food! Brilliant move! Oh that skirt steak….so good! Fastpasses worked great again huh? ;)
Oh goodness, I remember that with the food. Ugh! You did good not letting it ruin the night! This was a great “figure out” night, that second party was smooth like buttah! You guys did such a great job! And the lunch beforehand held us great didn’t it? So much good food! But I’m getting too far ahead, back to today, a good, although hot day! Swimming was so smart and refreshed you!

That was the best spot to eat to stay cool, wasn’t it?! That FP coordinator we got did awesome! The food at the party put a damper on us for about 30 minutes. But then we went and had fun! So it was well behind us. It really did help that we planned two parties! This night helped us to get a lot of our must-do’s done! And see where everything was! Don’t get ahead!! ;) The swum was a perfect refresher!

What a great morning! Sounds like low waits for the beginning of it.
I love how you went from the relaxing demonstration to the fastest ride on property. A big shift in experiences LOL LOL LOL
Wow, that’s a lot of food at F&W! Smart thinking on the air conditioning! I’ll have to remember a tactic like that for my visits! :bulb:
Jeez, that MNSSHP had a lot of ups and downs. I bet you were extreeeemely tired after all that! What with :jack: :sally: being moved and the meal at Cosmic Ray’s. Oh, that meal just sounds like a complete disaster! And CMs disrespecting the manager?!?!? Triple yikes. :surprised: I’m glad you at least had another party night to compensate!

We did have nice low waits that morning! We liked the extreme experience change! LOL So much food!! Yes! They have tables and chairs inside! That really helped us to stay cool for a bit! So use that tip for sure! The party did have a lot of ups and downs for sure! But we made the best of it! Party 2 went so much better!! We were shocked at the rude CM’s to the manager too.
