bexruns374 XPI ran it in 2015 and did the Disneyland Half Marathon in 2014. Next is Tink in May! I wish I could do them all but $$$!
January 18, 2017 at 9:30 am #7793It seems like a majority of the people on here visit WDW more. I’m west coast based and have never been to WDW. Anyone visit DL?
I visit WDW the most because I grew up visiting every year. We had DVC so it was more cost effective to return to WDW rather than visit Disneyland. Having said that, I did visit DL once. So much has changed, I would love to visit again! But I also love WDW and now that we can’t go every year, I’m desperate to go back there over visiting DL. Some day it will happen!

bexruns374 XPI know a lot of people who just recently visted DL for their first time after going to WDW many times and they were disappointed with how small it is. I know it’s incredibly tiny compared to WDW but it’s also in the middle of a city and has very limited space on where they can build.
It makes me jealous of all the space WDW actually has.

I hear that a lot too…. which is why when we went we had low expectations but after visiting, we were totally thrilled that we made the trek to the west coast to visit. We all thoroughly enjoyed DL. Not too sure on California Adventure though….. except for Cars Land…. they nailed it on that part of the park!

Being small can have its advantages. You can walk around and park hop more easily than you can at WDW, which I loved about DL. I haven’t park hopped in YEARS at WDW because to me the hassle of transportation has turned me off. I think both parks have their pros and cons
June 26, 2017 at 12:05 pm #35470True I do go to WDW a lot, but last year I decided to finally see the place where it all started. Spent 3 days in Disneyland and loved evey minute. I spent a grand total of 6 hours on Main Street alone. I like how everything was closer together. Easier on the feet. Plus it is SO easy to park hop. I counted 133 steps between Disneyland and DCA. I want to go back SO BAD

VikingMickey53 XPoo-o, you inspire me to
go and enjoy DL ????June 26, 2017 at 3:18 pm #35491Glad you had a great time! What was your favorite part?
So hard to choose. The red cart corn dogs tops the list of food items. As for attractions it’s a tie between Haunted Mansion Holiday and Mickey and the Magical Map. Over in DCA Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree gets the award for favorite attraction. First time I laughed out 100% joy in a long LONG time

go and enjoy DL ????You won’t regret it. Every Disney fan needs to go where Walt himself walked at least once.

85glht22 XPWife and I are contemplating a Hawaii and DL trip next year. Stopping in California on the return makes it easier to deal with the jet lag.
June 26, 2017 at 6:32 pm #35563I live in Phx and grew up real close to DLR. Since 1965 I have been there well over 100 times
Next trip to WDW is Feb 10th!!!!!

You know, in the many many times I’ve been to DL I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a corn dog from the red truck.
