This morning we got to Magic Kingdom just after rope drop but we were in no hurry. Good thing too. More people here today than on Tuesday by like a lot!
We briefly shopped in the Emporium
Used our FP+ at Space Mountain at 9:20am (30 minute posted wait, but trust me it was longer)
Learned about a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow at Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
Got some laughs at the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor – no I wasn’t that guy!
In Fantasyland:
Went Under the Sea with a 10 minute posted wait, more like 5 minutes
Took a ride on “it’s a small world” with a 20 minute posted wait which was accurate. Song stuck in my head now!
Used our FP+ for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with a 85 minute posted wait. FP took us 5 minutes
Left for lunch at Sanaa at AKL-Kidani! Great lunch again! Love that bread service and butter chicken! Heads up! They do have a 10th sauce, but you have to ask for it and it is super spicy, so only get it if you want your mouth to take that kind of punishment!
Relaxed our afternoon and now getting ready to drive out to see the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary…maybe visit the Top of the World Lounge to wrap up our last night on property :'(August 17, 2017 at 6:03 pm #44784Fun day! That last night, always a bit sad.
August 17, 2017 at 6:05 pm #44785It’s the last night?!?!
At least you got in some classics with musical wonders! Small World, Carousel of Progress, Seven Dwarfs, sounds like it was packed with fun!
Hope tonight is the most magical night of the trip!
August 17, 2017 at 6:21 pm #44789What a great MK day! It’s hard on those busier days, but you still accomplished a lot!!! Gotta take that spin on Carousel of Progress for sure! I love it!!! Great use of those FP’s too! They really help on Mine Train and Space Mountain! Those get crazy long! Lunch sounds delicious!!! We haven’t eaten there, but it sounds delicious!! Enjoy your evening!!!! Thanks for sharing your trip with us!
August 17, 2017 at 6:51 pm #44796You’re killing it with the FP’s !
Whats for supper tonight? Do you have ADRs?
Last night… booooooo… it goes by so fast doesn’t it??

August 21, 2017 at 8:06 am #45188Update: Thursday night we drove and parked at the Contemporary (they let us in since we’re DVC and visiting Top of the World and it was after 7:00pm). We hopped a monorail over to GFR to see it’s grand lobby for a bit, then went back to the Contemporary and got to the Top of the World just before Happily Ever After started. Having seen it up close once, I’m totally cool with seeing it from BLT It was difficult to make out most of the details in the projection from there, but the fireworks were no less stunning!
After the fireworks we ordered a Margerita Flatbread (lots of cheese with sliced tomato on top) and it was delicious! I mentioned to our first timer that my nickname for Top of the World Lounge was Ten Forward which got a good laugh

I’ve heard this is a great thing to do once you’ve seen the projections already. Was your vantage point better for the fireworks? Josh from Easy WDW also suggests the Poly beach for firework viewing after you’ve seen the projections.

Yes!!! love it!
August 21, 2017 at 8:31 am #45196@starbee I imagine the beach at Poly might be a better vantage point than BLT just because the fireworks would all appear in line with the castle. At the top of BLT, the small fireworks are by the castle, but the larger ones are very clearly being launched from behind Fantasyland (to the viewer’s right of the the castle), but that didn’t matter to us. Due to the more exclusive access of BLT’s lounge to just DVC members staying on points on property, there’s not much of a crowd up there.
