    Ok guys n gals,

I have never attended the MCMCP, so I have no real frame of reference for it. That said, the wife and I have an anniversary trip scheduled for 12-15 Dec and said party is on our arrival day. Its a hard ticketed event and 90$ per person. So, do we spend the money or not worry about it?

Well, I can’t speak as to whether it’s worth it or not, but we’re going that night! It’ll be our first also, and maybe our only as we don’t know if we’ll get back for the holidays, so we figured, why not.

It’s hard to say if it’s “worth it” without knowing what you hope to get out of it. I haven’t been to MVMCP so I can’t really speak for that, but I personally think MNSSHP is worth it (although I don’t think $90 is cheap) especially if you don’t have daytime admission.

That was always Steve’s favorite! But, the twins LOVE MNSSHP better. With the extra cost with kids, we haven’t been able to do both. If you like cookies and hot chocolate, then GO FOR IT!

This was something that my wife and I disagreed on, so it depends on your taste.

I thought MVMCP and MNSSHP were both worth it to do them once, but I’d be more likely to do MNSSHP again. Can’t say the same for MVMCP.

My wife was the exact opposite. Glad she did both, but would be more likely to do MVMCP again.

I think it’s definitely worth it to do at least once! The only con I can think of is the price. Definitely not cheap! But, the pros are: shorter wait times for rides, getting to see it “snow” on Main Street, the extra character meet & greets, the hot chocolate and cookies (as much and as often as you want!), and just the overall atmosphere. It’s impossible to attend the party and not get into the Christmas spirit! :)

    Thanks everyone!

We are going to do it, as we have done MNSSHP and loved that. Plus who doesnt love hot cocoa and cookies? I’ll let everyone know how it goes.

MAtt, I did it once a few years ago. I enjoyed it, but I am still a MNSSHP gal. I guess I am not excited by snow (fake no less) being from Maine. I think the themeing is nice and I loved seeing the parade with the woodden soldiers coming down Main Street. For me that was a highlight after having seen it on TV on Christmas Day for so many years. I think you should do it once and see how you like it. IF you have done MNSSHP you can compare. Good Luck & let us know if you go and what you think. :tree: :santa: :tree:

I like the Halloween party better….. but as I always say, you need to try things once for yourself and make your own assessment.

That said and seeing you already made the decision to attend…. have fun!!! :ears:

For me, what makes it worth it is when I use my Christmas party day as my only day at MK. I go in at 4pm and stay until midnight and get 8 hours in the park for a discounted price. Granted, it was a much better deal when the party was around the $67 range. Now it’s getting up there where it’s almost the same price as what it would cost to get into the park anyway. If I were planning on going to MK for a full day and then attending the party that night….NO WAY is it worth it IMO. That’s like paying double to get in, and getting a free cookie and hot chocolate for doing so. I don’t get much out of the little dance parties and such that they have going on because I’m kidless. I’m there for the low crowds and short lines with a super Christmassy atmosphere.
