Music Tracks "Roast"

Sometimes the music of D-COT makes me shake my head. And, as I am wont to do, I elected to create a forum thread to express my opinion for posterity.
(To be clear, I
D-COT and the Disney parks. But I think we ALL have our gripes about tracks on here, and perhaps it would be therapeutic to share our thoughts, in our best Don Rickles impression, in a sort of “roast” right here.)I’ll begin with Disneyland – Parades & Shows – Light Magic 1997:
I thought that I had forgiven the silly plot because, after all, I’m listening to a collection of favorite Disney tunes arranged in Irish Step Dance style (including Baroque Hoedown!). And I subsequently tune out most of the character babble. But tonight I realized that they borrowed a random narrator from National Geographic, as if we’re watching some nature documentary. Why does someone have to explain what’s going on to us? Shouldn’t a good show explain most of that in the course of itself? Or shouldn’t the narrator at least be a Disney character? What gives?!Does anything grind your gears, even in tracks or shows that you enjoy?
Any of the High School Musical tracks. But that’s just because I have 2 daughters who were both obsessed with HSM and I had to listen to it for years. Nothing against D-Cot, I am just over HSM forever.
Good point Becky, those HSM tracks can retire! Maybe in another playlist than Hollywood Studios so that when you listen on random you don’t end up hearing any of them!
I agree with you Ferg for the China tracks, not the most pleasant sounding tracks, especially when you’re at the office.

When I worked there, I could hear the Off Kilter playing EVERYDAY! The same songs again and again and again hahahah! Now I’m done!

Two of my faves.
For me, its Frontierland Music. I am not a country music fan so I skip this stuff. High School Musical style as well. Not my thing. I chose to skip through. Of course, one can always favorite what they want and skip the rest
I can’t listen to China tracks or the high school musical stuff, I loved the movies when they came out. It not now

Same! Also, a lot of the Old Key West stuff or Blizzard Beach. I like the music but it’s just not my jam when I’m at work.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Parades & Shows – Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade: Would be so much better if Goofy wasn’t in charge of leading some hip singalong! Why do you use the most un-hip character to lead the funky section of your show?!
