@abeach I definitely think that the lines for Peter Pan’s Flight are WAY too long for a ride that’s only 5 minutes long, but it was the first ride I went on at WDW, so it will always have a special place in my heart.
I totally understand! I think your point is one of the best things in the world when it comes to the World! Each of us has magical moments that are born out of our unique experiences. I do really like Peter Pan.
January 12, 2018 at 10:19 pm #62671I’m of a very similar opinion @starbee Inflated wait times don’t necessarily mean overrated to me. There are other options. Overrated, to me, means the hype and popularity of a ride far outweighs the draw and appeal in my opinion.
I do really like Peter Pan, but my personal opinion is that it meets the criteria you have described: the hype and popularity of a ride far outweighs the draw and appeal (for me). That’s what makes it overrated to me personally.
January 13, 2018 at 1:20 am #62676My big one is Illuminations…the crowds are insane and I can never hear or see it well. Supposedly there are things projected on the globe? Well give me binoculars cuz I’ve never seen them. I skip it and ride spaceship earth one last time.

Oh my goodness, I didn’t think about this, I agree! Everybody talks about how wonderful it is but it is by far my least favorite of all the nighttime shows.

AnonymousXPI agree with what you are saying @ABeach and I feel the same way with Navi River Journey. The ride’s visuals and the animatronics were beautiful and my family liked it, (once we actually got on) but I don’t think we’ll wait in another long line for it again.

AnonymousXP@ferg I hope the lines go down! I would hate for you to lose one your tier 1 FPs for it!
January 13, 2018 at 10:48 am #62704I got a FP for FoP so I am gonna have to get in the river journey line when I get there. I hate it but I don’t have any other option. Mom hasnt seen it and if I was a good daughter I would have gotten a FP for it. Turns out I’m only “kinda” good.
January 13, 2018 at 10:53 am #62705I agree with Astro orbiter’s, my daughter was excited to ride it and then came back and said it was ok no big deal, the kids love the rapids too and I hate going because last time I got drenched and walked around all day with wet shorts ugh
January 13, 2018 at 12:45 pm #62709@jamiedawn27 if you can rope drop Navi it shouldn’t be bad. You shouldn’t even have to get there really super early like you would for FoP. 95% of the people there early got to FoP first. And you ARE a good daughter!
January 13, 2018 at 12:55 pm #62710And all you have to do to be a good friend is take me with you!
January 13, 2018 at 1:31 pm #62712@nascfan well I will rope drop RJ for her. she will be slower but they won’t let u “run” anyway. ha! anywho it won’t matter…I’ve seen it all so this is supposed to be a more relaxing trip. this is the only rope drop I worry about…the other rope drops will be TSM, the splash/thunder mountain and Soarin (well that one can suck)
January 13, 2018 at 4:12 pm #62719I like Illuminations but I don’t think it’s Disney’s best. I won’t always fight the crowds at park close so I can see Illuminations and if I do, that will only happen once in a trip.
I’m lucky we only waited 20 minuted for Navi River Journey because we rope dropped it. I’m glad we did that before FoP because I think it would have been a let down experiencing them for the first time the other way around.

VikingMickey53 XPblasphemy ref. Illuminations . I dig the music, fireworks and boo-boo Promises end song.
If not little ones to get home, it is cool to view it from a late dinner ADR venue (Hacienda, Tokyo Dining)
looking out the window. Or dining on the patio of Rose & Crown, Spice Road. Leisurely finish dinner and
stroll out of empty Epcot while all others are long gone. -
