Most Overrated Attractions at WDW

XPI’m sure a lot of you know what the most underrated attractions in WDW are. (Carousel of Progress, The Peoplemover, and Journey Into Imagination are just a few examples) But that got me thinking, what are some of the most overrated attractions in WDW? In my opinion, I think that Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is the most overrated because, while it is a cute ride with stunning animatronics, I wouldn’t wait 90 minutes to ride it!

My personal opinion of the most ‘overrated WDW attractions’…..
Dumbo …. yup… I said it. 
Barnstormer …… uhhhhh…. yep. Frozen Ever After….. BRING BACK MAELSTROM!!! 
Astro Orbitors ….. see above Dumbo. Kali River Rapids…. WHYYYYY is the line always so long for a ride that causes you to walk around with wet under clothes for the rest of the day

XP@Acamm These are some nice choices! I feel like Kali River Rapids is the same as Mine Train where people wait in a 80 minute line for a ride that, in my opinion, I think is kinda boring. Also, while Maelstrom wasn’t my favorite ride, it was definitely better than what we have now! It makes me mad knowing that people are wasting their whole day to go on rides like these!!!

I completely agree with your comments on Navi River Journey. I had a FP and used it as soon as we got to AK. I would have been very disappointed if I had stood in line for hours to ride this attraction. The effects were really neat, but the attraction was too short.Uh oh – I am going to get boo’d here but…..
Navi River Journey – I had a fast pass and enjoyed the ride but I would have been sorely disappointed to have had to stand in line 2 hrs + to ride it! Those of you who had ridden it, you know what I am talking about…
I’ve gotta agree with you, @disneyfan1966! It’s an ok ride, but definitely not worth a long wait and not worth choosing it over FOP for a FP!!
I would also say Magic Carpets of Aladdin (how many of these spoke and wheel rides do we need in MK?) and Frozen Ever After (RIP Maelstrom

Dumbo…(or Magic Carpets of Aladdin or Astro Orbiters….an attraction by any other name…)
At the risk of getting kicked out of the group….Peter Pan’s Flight…It’s nice, but I do not understand why this one has such long standby times and it runs out of FPs quickly. It’s OK, but we try not to waste a FP on it. The standby has to be 30 minutes or less for us to get in the queue.
Tomorrowland Speedway…my daughter is 13 and still absolutely loves it. If this were the only attraction in the Magic Kingdom she would still be happy. As one who commutes 45-60 minutes to work each way throughout the week, I am not drawn to an attraction in which I have to drive a really slow car.
Test Track…(see commuting comment above.) I’m sorry, but I have the pleasure of regularly driving a car that exceeds 60mph in traffic. It doesn’t thrill me to drive 60mph in every day life, and it really doesn’t on Test Track either. I also agree with others that the previous story and theme for Test Track was more appealing.
That’s really all that come to mind on most overrated attractions. The most COMPLETE attraction (in my opinion) is Splash Mountain. It has a story, interior and exterior scenes with a great view of Cinderella’s Castle, a few minor drops, a major drop, and even a final dynamic scene with the riverboat.

I totally agree with this. We waited in the standby queue for almost 2 hours because we had FPs for Flight of Passage, and Navi River was quite disappointing. Flight of Passage, however, was quite amazing!! So, if I’m handing out grades for the two Pandora attractions, Navi River Journey gets a “C” and Flight of Passage gets an “A.” However, I did feel that FoP had a really long pre-show experience. How many rooms with instructions do we need to go through??
Interesting comments on the Pandora rides! I will let you know my thoughts next month! We have a FP for Navi on our first AK day since FoP wasn’t available, got those thinking we won’t want to wait any length of time for what I hear is a short river ride. Our second AK day we have FoP FPs, good to know there is a long pre-show!
Astro Orbitor always surprises me, I think it’s a kiddie ride but once you get up there it’s like whoa we are up high and this is way twirlier than I remembered!
Although last visit I didn’t get to ride since my 15 year old has grown so much and we realized that we couldn’t fit all our legs in the rocket!
Yesssssss… Na’vi River Journey is SOOOOOOOoooooo overrated! Its not worth using a FP on it! I will only ride it again if the wait is 5 minutes or less
