Monday January 13th:
5:15am alarm. Down to bus stop before 6:30am. On bus at 6:45am to HS for 7am opening. Dropped off minutes before 7am. I did bagless entry and through AP turnstile quickly. Ryan went through bag check and was done within 5 minutes, lines weren’t too bad. As soon as he tapped his band to enter, I clicked to join a Boarding Group for Rise of the Resistance. We got Boarding Group 107 at 7:08am. For today it stated that groups 111 and lower were guaranteed entrance, other groups would be standby for possible later boarding if time allowed. We heading toward Slinky to try to standby it but it was already 95 min and the line was out of Toy Story Land by One Man’s Dream! We got in line for TSMM with a posted 35 min wait but really only 20-25 min. Ryan won this time. Then to Tower with a 20-25 min wait. Texted Teri to meet us at Epcot instead of HS since there are more options to do there. We were going to stop in SB but the line was wrapped around outside and likely a 30 min wait for drinks. Sky Liner to Epcot. Ryan and I grabbed a ham and cheese croissant and a bacon, egg and cheese croissant in France since we had time until Teri and Kailey would arrive. I also grabbed a chocolate mousse! So good! Met Teri and Kailey at the new SB for caffeine. We all then went to Soarin standby of 45 min posted but was closer to 30. Then Living with the Land with a 5 min wait. K needed food and it was around 11:30am. So she ate something at Sunshine Seasons and Teri ate her lunch she brought. She was still feeling pretty sick but wanted to come hang out. We worked our way to China and Ryan and I shared the beef noodle bowl and pot stickers. Got pics in China with our medals. Then Germany for caramel corn and a dark chocolate caramel with sea salt. Over to Figment, it was a walk on. Then Nemo as a walk on. We saw the manatees and the scuba gal! Walked Mouse Gear. Walked Teri and Kailey to the front. It was just after 3pm but they needed to head out so K could get her learners permit at the DMV since her 15th birthday was on our arrival day! Ryan and I grabbed tea at SB and were starting to walk to the Sky Liner to get back to HS since our boarding group was getting close for RotR. We received our notification that our Boarding Group was ready and we had 2 hours to arrive. We were almost to the International Gateway when we got the notification. We got in line for RotR at 4:25pm and was told it would be about an hour wait. We were in the first show room around 5:10pm. We were off the attraction by 5:30pm. Holy cow! What an amazing ride/attraction/experience! Just wow! I won’t give any spoilers. But I hadn’t read or watched anything about it because I wanted it to be a surprise! I was blown away! We had AK FP’s booked for this evening but ended up releasing what was left of them since we had missed the first one and wouldn’t make it in time for the second one. We didn’t see going to AK for one FP. We took the Sky Liner back to Epcot for the evening! We were dropped off at 6:30pm. We checked to see if the pizza window was open but it wasn’t. We went to the UK for Fish and Chips. So yum! Walk on to SSE. Sky Liner back to Pop. To our room by 9pm. We packed since we head home tomorrow. Lights out at 11pm.

September 12, 2020 at 2:32 pm #140558107 at 8 minutes past opening, that’s pretty good!
Glad you got to have a nice Epcot day with Teri and Kailey! Sounds like a lot of fun!!!! Especially seeing Manatees and the scuba gal
I love how easy it is to parkhop between Epcot and DHS with the Skyliner now!!! Certainly makes all of this so much faster!
And HOLY COW, RotR was so good!!! I’m so glad you guys got to experience it!!!!!! All your pics really made me miss it too! It was just that awesome!!! So glad I went in with no spoilers!
Laura’s house!!!! And my favorite Land crates!!! I’ve got to get me one of those crates….
And holy moly that shot of Teri with Red, that is….that is just *chef’s kiss*
Ah, so close to the Skyliner! I hope you get to ride that one someday!!!
And Ryan’s shirt for today, that is just toooooo good.September 12, 2020 at 2:58 pm #140563Wow it looks like a stunning day!!! Love the pic of the gals with Joy! And holy moly no wonder Teri still wasn’t feeling well, carrying all that weight around her neck lol! Hope she felt much better after some resting days. Glad you shared your RotR expertise with us after this experience
September 12, 2020 at 5:11 pm #140573Just made it into the guaranteed boarding passes, whew! Good job getting that! Oh those lines still! Yikes! Even for SB! I’m so glad you got to ride RotR! I hope we get lucky in November! Poor Teri still not feeling well.
Awww, the manatees! They are so cute! Aaaaa, Tigger Skyliner! I love it! Good day, good sister and niece time!September 12, 2020 at 5:41 pm #140576@sej101 We were pleased with our boarding group with checking in after park opening! It was a nice Epcot day with Teri! I love seeing the manatees!! We rarely see the scuba divers anymore! So it’s a fun treat to see! We usually walk between HS and Epcot pretty regularly. But it’s really nice to take a break and a great view too! Laura’s house looked great! I love those crates too! RotR is so amazing and I’m glad we saw it with no spoilers too! Such a great experience! Isn’t that the most amazing pic of Teri with her medals!! I think we’ve ridden the Pooh Tigger Skyliner a couple times now! So fun! Coincidentally, Ryan is wearing that shirt today too!!
@warrsm Teri was smart enough to carry her medals in her bag and just put them on for pictures. But it’s super heavy either way for sure!! She actually took forever to get well. We truly think she had Covid! I’m so glad we were able to experience RotR with you guys on the next trip too!!
@nascfan We barely squeaked in on the guaranteed boarding group for sure! Such long lines for sure!!! I have full confidence that we will get a RotR boarding group in November!! We really think Teri had Covid at some point. She took forever to get better. I love seeing our manatees! And our Pooh Tigger Skyliner! It was a great day!September 12, 2020 at 8:04 pm #140602I honestly think I’ve only seen the scuba divers once! It’s a real treat!!! Oooooooh, walking between the two makes sense. I forgot people could do that. But I mean, may not be ideal for this trip considering the lack of sleep and the race… I’m glad to hear you’ve been on the Pooh skyliner bucket!!! That’s great!!! Now if only they had a Robin Hood one! Oh my gosh, that’s hilarious!!!!
September 12, 2020 at 8:08 pm #140604Oh yeah, I remember that! And Ryan had it/got it when you got back, most likely inadvertently from her. I’m glad both finally got better!
Ah yes, one of my favorite memories from your Dopey was walking from EPCOT to Studios with you guys. Just the four of us, walking and chatting and just enjoying being there and you guys recapping the race for us. I loved that!
September 12, 2020 at 10:39 pm #140613It had been years since I had seen the scuba diver! We walk it all the time! But we needed a little break so it was nice for that option! Oh man, it would be awesome if they had a Robin Hood bucket! It’s one of his favorite shirts!
Aw! That really is such a fantastic memory from my Dopey weekend!! I actually remember that too! Even in my sleep deprived state! -
