Friday January 20th: 10K Day
3:30am alarm. On bus by 4:12am. Met up with d-cotters and made sure they all had everything they needed. They were feeling tired but more confident than yesterday since now they knew where to go and what to expect! Met Teri to get her bag from her. They all entered the runners area just after 5am. We watched all of our runners start the race since we had tracker on them, we knew when they crossed the start line and saw nearly all of them just after the finish! Ryan and I didn’t realize they were running right by the bus area so we missed our first runners by the time we went over there. But we saw Justin, Christy and Chloe and gave them big cheers as they ran by before they entered behind the scenes of Epcot! We grabbed Joffrey’s again and took it to the finish line. Tracking texts helped so much and we successfully saw all of our runners cross the finish line! We met Teri to give her her bag back and send her home for more rest, she’s still feeling really sick. Ryan and I were on our bus at 8am back to Pop. We showered and got ready. Shared a bagel sandwich. Bus to AK at 10:05am. Used our Navi FP, standby was 85 for Navi and FoP was 185. We walked the Discovery Trail and saw the otters napping and then a handler feeding the Lemurs. Used our safari FP at 11:35, standby was 150 min. SB to get tea. Lunch of rice and chicken bowls in Pandora. Everest FP at 1:10pm. Walked Dinoland and got pics with DinoSue. Got a FP for Nemo for the 2:30pm show. We sat and watched the water in the Rivers of Light seating area while we waited for our 2-2:15pm check in time window opened for Nemo. We sat in the 2nd row. I really enjoy this show. Ryan napped a bit due to our 3 early days in a row. We took pics at the Tree of Life and got to our bus stop at 3:25pm. We wanted to rest our feet and legs before our half marathon tomorrow. We were on our way at 3:35pm and in our room at 4pm. Stretched out and rested our feet for a while. Then walked to AoA at 5:30pm for dinner. I had Tandori Chicken thighs with rice, green beans and naan bread. Ryan had a chicken pasta dish. Both were yummy. Teri was on her way to our hotel because she was going to stay with us the next two nights so she didn’t have to drive in from home. We got her settled in. We all stretched out and got our race things ready for morning. Lights out at 8:30pm.

Those otters! So cute! You got a backside of water extra! Your Everest kissing picture is so cute!
You really did get some nice Safari pictures! And dinner looks so good! Yummy!
Halfway through the ungodly early wakeups!September 10, 2020 at 4:22 pm #140151Always such crowds!!! We absolutely needed FP’s to get anything done! The line was so long for Oswald! And with her not feeling well we wanted to get her back home quickly. So it was a good option!
The otters were so cute! Extra backside of water! Thank you! We are adorable!
It was an awesome safari!! Yummy dinner for sure!
