i have a hard time with the full-bodied or dark roasts as sometimes they are so bitter and all i can think of is drinking out of an ashtray…i tend to go to the mediums and have to blame @starbee for getting me on the Hollywood blend.

I’m with you @DisneyJean on my last two trips i only did Joffreys…i can get starbucks anytime but at Disney i get Joffreys!

It is super-smooth. And I like that is is a legit medium roast/medium body coffee. Too often I’m finding mediums that taste like colored water. The label states a high acidity, which I honestly cannot find. Everything about this coffee seems to be well-balanced. A great breakfast cup!

Agreed! I also found that the Trattoria roast is a great complement to chocolate desserts.

@DisneyJean @jamiedawn27 Good point on Starbucks vs. Joffrey’s. I’ve been getting both during my trip because that means lots of free drinks at Starbucks when I get home!

    You’re welcome :smirk:

From the sounds of it, Flavors of Africa might have to be my next purchase!

Thank you so much everyone! Since my DH is the picky one and we dined at a bunch of places this vacation, I will let him decide. I will press for some Flavors of Africa though since it does seem to be a favorite. We ate at both Artist Point and FF so I will let him try to remember which he liked better. He is actually excited about this – he the Disney tolerant… :smirk: I think we are getting him!

    You won’t regret it…

I figured Father’s Day was a special enough occasion to cut open my bag of Joffrey’s Hawaiian Kona…

   This is the coffee I have been looking for… Kona Cafe claims to use the Maragogype… I honestly cannot tell the difference between the two.
Just to be clear, this is not the Disney Kona Cafe blend. The DKCB is what is used for regular cups of coffee in Kona Cafe, not the press.
You can find this one with the origins coffees on Joffrey’s site.

I think so! How does it compare then to the Disney Kona blend?

@ridisneypinguy I really enjoyed the 100% Kona as well. And while I understand the price tag, it’s just a once-in-a-while purchase for us because of it. But truly it is the king or Kahuna of coffee!

We like to do the french press pot for two as our dessert (low carb folks). We tried the Joffrey’s Hawaiian Kona at the Flying Fish — excellent! and we also had french press pots at Narcoosee’s and California Grill but I don’t remember what variety they served. Narcoosee’s menu says it is the Anniversary blend. We loved them all . The only bad experience we had was with a server who didn’t do a particularly good job and there were grounds in our cups. Our go-to parks drink is the Cold Brew Joffrey’s with cream. I think that they served the Jamaican at the Kiosk in Tomorrowland.

I have not tried Disney Kona blend. If any other Kona blend could be used as a barometer, there is no comparison. IME the blends do not have enough actual Kona and/or the quality Kona to separate them from just a good grocery-store type coffee. The blends are just an average coffee, where the real-deal has a brightness and smoothness that is unmistakeable. I will say not all Kona is equal either. I have had some bad 100% Kona in the past. Joffrey’s is one of the best.

@starbee I’ve had Joffrey’s 100% Kona, the Aulani Blend and the Kona Blend, and what @ridisneypinguy says is spot on. The difference is unmistakeable. 100% Kona is FAR better. The others are like 5%, maybe 10% Kona, and the rest is from Central America. They’re good, just not great.
