Going to the Pool… and then going to the pool some more
I need to relax from my vacation last week

Little League baseball when it’s not raining. When it is raining watching the NOAA river gauge because our river is in minor flood stage and about six years ago our house was flooded. Also hoping to see Cars
Our 4th celebration was last week with Not Quite Independence Day parade and fireworks.That sounds like a fun plan to see Cars! Sorry you’re going to be getting a lot of rain this weekend
I wish we were doing something, I love staying busy or going somewhere but hubby not so much, working in the backyard cleaning up bushes and that is about it

Headed home to the farm tonight for a 4-H Livestock Judging Team meeting and picnic. Then making hay all weekend, hopefully.
And designing a float for the Martinsburg (PA) Ag Parade on Thursday. That’ll keep me busy.
(Also hopefully sending @Steve a zip of a few dozen music files like I’ve been meaning to resend for a few months!)
Work on Monday, back home Tuesday. Maybe if we get enough stuff done, I’ll catch a bit more of the Independence Day shenanigans at State College than I normally do. Great fireworks tho!

We’re grilling steaks tonight. I’m gonna try and duplicate that Elderflower Gin & Tonic from the California Grill. Maybe watch some neighborhood fireworks and calm my dog at the same time. Listen to laprana’s “A Salute to All Nations, But Mostly America” playlist. Celebrate not being at work. Watch “Johnny Tremain” again.

My mom, Cole, and I are headed to Houston to stay with my sister and brother in law. My dear husband is working this weekend. My sister is due in early September. So Cole has a cousin on the way. They will be about 9 months apart.
We’re hoping to do a little shopping & find my sister a dress for her upcoming baby shower. We are also going to attempt to make lemon macaroons. It’s the first time for all of us. We love to bake but are a little intimidated since making macaroons is a very tedious process. Has anyone ever made them and if so do you have any tips? I hope everyone has a fun & safe holiday weekend! :mickey:
