Heather/Dopey Challenge – 1/4/18-1/10/18 – Day 5

Monday 1/8/18

After what felt like a marathon session of sleeping with no middle of the night wake up we enjoyed a breakfast of Mickey waffles at Pop before heading to Magic Kingdom. We saw Nancy, Sue, and their sister Jen at the Castle hub with their backs to us, waiting for the Welcome Show. Being the imp that I am, I saw an opportunity. So I quietly waked up and scared Nancy! That was fun! I laughed so hard while she beat me! We watched the Welcome Show with them and they headed off to Space Mountain while we rode the Carrousel since Heather and Ryan were en route. They got there and we got some pictures at the Castle and rode Big Thunder together, Kathy’s second time ever! Oh my gosh, Heather was so proud of her! They even went in the front with us since that’s where Kathy felt comfortable! We met up with Teri and all used our Haunted Mansion FP’s together. Heather made sure to lead me in the dark while my glasses transitioned from dark to light, thank you sis! I truly don’t know what I’d do without you! We met up with Nancy, Sue, and Jen, and Nancy got me back for scaring her earlier by spooking me back….great job Nancy!…. and we all rode Pirates with FP’s. We got what may be the best ride photo ever with everyone having maps, most of them upside down! The sisters had to leave for the airport so we got hugs all around. Goodness it was so great to meet them and cheer them on in the Half and ride at least a ride with them! They are so sweet! Sam and his family were on their way in so we got a few more pictures and Kathy went to use her FP for Peter Pan’s Flight while we met up with them and all rode Space together with our FP’s. That was fun! We got lunch at Casey’s Corner, we had the mac and cheese hot dog, and then had to walk Teri out. We had such a good time getting to know her! We got some caffeine and were able to just enjoy a bit of time just being there, the four of us together in Tomorrowland soaking in the atmosphere and just loving being at our happy place. Some of the best times at Disney, doing absolutely nothing with the people you love. The four of us rode the People Mover and then Carousel of Progress, that was SO great to experience with Heather! Kathy and Ryan took a little nap while we just smiled and sang along and pretty much recited the dialogue!

We headed to POR with them so they could pick up their marathon ears for embroidering and then filled mugs and caught the boat to DTD. It’s just such a nice boat ride! We went with them to get their ears stitched and stopped at Pizza Ponte for dinner. Our first time for all of us, man was it good! We were amazed at just how good that place is, and an AP discount! We knew we’d be going back in the future! This was such a good time the four of us together, I never wanted it to end. We spent a lovely evening with them around DTD before heading home to bed.
