Getting Stuck in the World of a Ride

The suspension of disbelief is a wonderful, powerful ability.

As I was watching a video of the Tron coaster, it made me think about how often I have immersed myself in the world of a Disney attraction. Ellen’s Energy Adventure, Soarin’, the Poly, Wilderness Lodge, Monsters Inc., the Timekeeper ( ), the Tiki Room, Kilimanjaro Safaris, even the Liberty Belle… I have effortlessly left the “real world” at their doorsteps and immersed myself in the atmosphere or the story that they present.

So, like the Haunted Mansion movie, or the upcoming Jungle Cruise movie… if you had to join one “world” from a Disney attraction, what would that be?

It’s a tough one for me. But I think it might honestly be Ellen. How fun would it be to be with Ellen and Bill Nye the Science Guy, doing whatever, whenever, WHEREever?!

Or maybe a better choice would be The Timekeeper… or Star Tours!

Actually, I’ve found my final answer.

The Muppets.
(where are our muppet emoji? Guess I’ll go with :yoda: . Cuz he looks like a muppet (but he’s wrinkled and green.). (Do you get that reference?! ))

Oooo I like this. Since I only have DL and DCA to reference mine will be fairly limited.

I’d have to choose either Redwood Creek Challenge Trail or Radiator Springs Racers (or all of Cars Land if I can)

Good question !! I leave the real world behind when I’m riding splash mountain and also riding the boat from magic kingdom to the grand Floridian, I think those two I would love to be a part of !

Ohhh good question.

If I could join one world from any Disney Attraction, it would have to be Spaceship Earth. I would choose this one because then I could jump from era to era as often as I like.

This may seem silly but, I’m going to say The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh… because, that ride takes you into the pages of a book; like the story could take you anywhere. That sounds pretty fun to me.

Hmmmmmm this is a toughy for sure! I would either say Kilamanjaro Safari or POTC or Mickeys Philharmagic.

Living with the Land… I think it would be pretty cool to live in a self-contained system like that, and use a boat to get from room to room in the house!

On more of a unrealistic side, I love the decor of the ToT, so that could be a solid choice as well.

Nothing wrong being realistic — that’s a pretty awesome idea!

(I love how everyone is providing their own unique interpretations of the question and there hasn’t been much (any?) overlap of ideas!)

Another “attraction” just came to my mind… the Tapestry of Nations. And, in a broader sense, the entire EPCOT Millennium Celebration (particularly ToN and Reflections of Earth).

I’m going to go with the new Frozen ever after ride! I’m a Winter girl for sure and it was such a beautiful ride! I have lived at the beach for my entire life and if I got stuck somewhere hot I would be ticked off! lol Give me the opposite of what I have on the daily! I hate heat! When that snowman sings about Summer I always think, “fool!” lol I know, I’m definitely not the norm.

I will start by saying where I would NOT like to be. After 5 rounds of the 1st scene of Carousel of Progress on this spring trip – Yes five…there was almost a riot-definately not there. I think maybe the Safari because I could be doing some good while there. Also the animals change all the time so I would never get bored. My other would be Haunted Mansion. I would love to be a maid there. The cast members are so cool and I just love the entire atmosphere.
