Saturday January 25th:
6am alarm for Ryan to get ready for his conference. He got his Lyft at 7am. I finished getting ready. Paige was running a few minutes late to meet at the MK bus stop at 8am. But I got in line to be one of the first for the next bus and she was there within a few minutes. We were on our way quickly and dropped off at 8:30am. We watched the opening show. Rope dropped Haunted with less than a 5 minute wait. It was Paige’s first time riding the WDW version! Then over to Pirates with less than a 5 min wait. Paige had forgotten her sunglasses at home and it was super bright out. So we stopped into Sunglass Hut for her to buy some. We were hungry so we went to Sleepy Hallow for waffles with Nutella and fruit and iced coffees. So yum! Then over to the People Mover. Then the Laugh Floor. We then walked around the Circus Tent. She was going to spend the day with some friends so I walked her to the Ariel meet and greet for her next FP. I then went to Columbia Harbour House to meet our friends Corey and Amy along with their 3 kids. It was around 11:30am. I didn’t eat anything since I had just eaten an hour before. But I sat and chatted with them. It had been 2 years since we had seen each other. After they ate lunch we went to the Laugh Floor, then Carousel of Progress. They had Space FP’s so I held their bags for them. I had completely forgotten I had a Buzz FP, but I wasn’t concerned. We all went to Tomorrowland Speedway for our FP’s. Each kid drove an adult. Trent, their youngest and is 7-ish drove me. Let’s just say it was a bumpy ride! I was getting hungry so I grabbed a hot dog and Mickey Pretzel at The Launching Pad. We then rode People Mover. Corey wasn’t up to riding Thunder, so I used his FP and rode with Amy and the kids. Ryan was getting done with his conference and went back to POP to drop off his stuff. We worked our way to the monorail but it was a very long line, at least 2-3 monorails worth. We took the ferry, something I hadn’t done in years, to the TTC. Then monorail to Epcot. Corey got their car from the TTC and drove it to Epcot while Amy and I took the kids via the monorail. We boarded and got stuck on a long hold. Ryan got to Epcot first and was getting in line at Starbucks for tea and water since my pack was empty. Corey met him there and Amy and I and the kids weren’t far behind. Corey, Amy and the kids were hungry so they ate at Sunshine Seasons. Ryan and I just shared a strawberry shortcake since we were going to grab dinner at the food booths. We visited with them for a while. The kids were getting tired so they were going to head to their hotel. We walked them towards the exit. Ryan and I started our food tour and got the Pork Bun at Painted Panda, so yum! Then the beef short ribs and the caramel tart at Cuisine Classique, both yummy. Quick stop for caramel corn in Germany. Beef Wellington and Sipping Chocolates at the Artists Table, very good. It was getting chilly out so we left around 8:15pm or so. Took Sky Liner to Pop. Met Stacey and Stefan in the food court for our first ever meet up! We chatted for a good 45 min. They are super sweet and easy to talk with. Back to our room at 9:30pm. Lights out at 11pm.

October 25, 2020 at 8:46 pm #141871Oh what a nice day, seeing all the faces and doing all the things. So cool to hear Paige finally rode the WDW HM!…but like, DLR’s is waaaaay better 2 years, wow! Glad that was fixed!!! And it sounds like you really made up for those two years with all the fun stuff!
I would imagine that Speedway ride was bumpy!!! Too funny! There’s a reason why 7 year olds aren’t allowed to drive!
Love the Peoplemover and BTMRR pics! And boy does Tron look so different! So much more dirt back then!
That CM photobomb is too funny! And I love the pics with Stacey! I can see the joy in her smile
There’s a friends list thing for…what is it, MDE? Photopass? Either way, I never knew that! Sounds cool!October 26, 2020 at 12:06 pm #141896It was such a nice day! I was happy she finally got to ride HM at WDW! She wanted to last November but the line was too long and it didn’t work with the rest of the plans. Yep! It had been 2 years and none of us could believe it! So much fun with them! It was a super bumpy ride with a 7 year old driver! Tron looks so much different now for sure! I love that photobomb pic so much! Yep! You can link with friends and family on MDE and you can see each others pictures that way!
October 26, 2020 at 7:21 pm #141906I see. Glad that was resolved this time around! I had no idea you could link friends! I’d ask how to do it but it’s not like I get a lot of photos anyway…oh also it’s not my account either…
