Festival of the Arts January 24th-28th, 2020:Day 5

Tuesday January 28th:
6:10am alarm. We were tired and slow. We dropped off our luggage for airline check in at 7:30am. Left carry on with bell services. Breakfast of waffles and an omelet. Bus line to MK was long but we were on at 8:45am. It opened at 9am. We went to Buzz with a 5 min wait. Then Space for our FP. Then Carousel of Progress. Then Pooh FP at 10:30am. Pics at the castle. We grabbed Mickey Bars on our way out. We were to our Pop bus stop at 11am and the bus just pulled up. They hold for 15-20 min during the slower times of day. We got to Pop and got our bags from Bell Services. We sat and charged our phones. Tragical Express was early and there when we went out at 12:20pm for our 12:35pm pick up time. The bus waited and left on time. Our flight was at 3:55pm and we were at the airport by 1:10pm. We walked around the pre-security area for a bit. We met the airport comfort dog, he’s a massive all black Newfoundland!! He was massive and loves naps and being pet. I could have pet him all day long!!!!! We were through security in 5 minutes. I had Chipotle and Ryan had Jersey Mike’s. Our flight was on time to Dallas, landed on time. Grabbed dinner. Then left on time at 7:35pm for our flight to El Paso. We landed 30 minutes early! We grabbed our luggage and were out to our car by the original landing time. That really helps since we have an hour drive home. We were home by 9:30pm. Unpacked fully and lights out before 11pm.

Final Thoughts:
What a whirlwind trip! This is one of the shorter trips we’ve done. The primary purpose was for Ryan to attend a conference. It ended up being a fun trip filled with tons of meet ups with friends!! Some of which we hadn’t actually met in person before. I really hope that Stacey’s work conference aligns with Ryan’s conference again in the future, since that was why she was there too! It was great to meet Jeff and put a face to a name. Don’t let his screen name fool you, he’s not really all that grumpy! And I absolutely loved spending 3 hours with my little brother!! This trip flew by so fast! We enjoyed every single item we tried at the food booths, all were winners! We were supposed to then be looking forward to our April trip for our 5th Star Wars Half Marathon. But upon me typing this up, the Covid-19 pandemic had interrupted our lives and plans. Our April race was cancelled and subsequently our trip was cancelled since WDW was still fully closed. We had rebooked for August for my birthday but ended up cancelling due to our travel restrictions. We are going in November no matter what!
