    @nascfan I am. I wanted to get moving yesterday because my lack of exercise, the holidays, and terrible eating living out of a hotel room has caused me to gain 30lbs since before I shipped to BMT :surprised: that’s absolutely not okay with me! I have a friend who’s 8 months pregnant and she’s only gained 19 lbs! I need a lifestyle change stat! So I went to the gym yesterday but just walked for 30 minutes. Not even a rope drop walk, I didn’t have it in me, but at least that was 30 minutes less of sitting on my rear.

    @starbee I need your motivation!! I have been totally failing these last 2 months, I don’t know what’s got me in such a loss of energy funk, but I am hoping Spring will come and inspire me to get outside and walk and just move. Slug is my best description lately and I need to drop at least 20 to feel better. 30-40 would be ideal. I wish i did not like food and my couch so much

    @warrsm Girl I have no motivation! This is what happens to me every winter and why I’m trapped in the vicious cycle of getting a winter body and then needing to get rid of it :( The dark and the cold makes me want to eat everything and sleep. Who decided humans weren’t supposed to hibernate?! I think they were wrong. So I feel you, believe me! My thing is just trying to take baby steps so I don’t get discouraged and feel like a total failure.

    @starbee LOL oh so true, we should be able to hibernate!!! then wake up with a spectacular spring body after digesting all my fat over the winter!!! I am promising myself to start with some baby steps this weekend. that, and much better portion control. I don’t think I have ever been this heavy. time to get up and go

    @warrsm This is the heaviest I have ever been in my entire life :( if I don’t shift it, I will be given a physical fitness test by the Air Force twice a year instead of once a year. A lot of people test twice a year, but for me that would be embarrassing. I’m young, in my first enlistment, and this is entirely my fault from a lack of motivation and self control. WE CAN DO IT! :)

    @starbee that was good to do. Nothing too strenuous to start back, just slowly work back into it. You will get there. Don’t beat yourself up. One step at a time, literally and figuratively.

    @warrsm
    don’t you beat yourself up either! Just pick a day, today, and do laps or moving of anything. Five minutes, anything. One step at a time for you too!

    None of you, none of us, should look at the final end goal. That’s way out there. 1, 2, steps. Want to lose 20 total for instance? Start with 2. “I want to lose 2 pounds in a month.” That’s what to shoot for. Then the next 2. And the next. You got this! You can do it!

    @starbee @nascfan thank you for the support!!! and the good ideas! I think that is a great way to have to pose this to myself, the baby steps you are both talking about. it does make it seem more feasible. THANK YOU!!

    Ok, I’m seriously sucking at the last two monthly challenges.
    LOL
    Still running every other day, but I’m struggling to find the time to weight train.
    And the eating……ugh
    I’m not even trying to eat healthy. And I don’t even care. What is going on????
    I think I need the summer

    got a weight free calisthenics workout this morning, no gym in the hotel. 32 minutes and 229 calories burned. If anyone is interested I can post the workout, I had one of my CPT buddies make it for me.
