Here’s my problem. We’re going to Disneyland on Aug 7. We’ll be down there Aug 6 in the afternoon but not going in parks. The hotel we’re stay at has a rooftop restaurant/bar that we can watch fireworks from. Monday though (the 7th) we need to choose between Fantasmic! and World of Color. None of us have ever seen World of Color but we also want to watch the updated Fantasmic! show. We rarely stay at the parks late enough to watch the evening shows so we’re at a crossroads. Those of you who have seen WoC, is it worth it to see that over the updated Fantastmic! show? I’ve watched both online but as we all know, it’s always more exciting to see in person.
    Thoughts?

I’m going to preface this with the fact that we were there in 2014 and have not seen the new Fantasmic, nor do I know what version of World of Color they are playing right now. That being said, at the time I had seen every nighttime show currently running in the domestic Disney parks. World of Color was hands down our favorite, of all of them. No contest. Take that for what it’s worth in your decision making.

@Nascfan wow really? You like World of Color more than Fantasmic, Illuminations, and Wishes?? That says a lot!

Yeppers. Now, this wasn’t from a rooftop restaurant either, but in the park. Whether that will have anything to do with the enjoyment or not, I don’t know.

I have NEVER seen the OLD Fantasmic (we have only been to DLR 2013, 2015, & 2017)
D23 Expo gave us passes to see NEW Fantasmic
I liked it but to me World Of Color is awesome.
I may be bias as I am a WDW AP & wish River of Light (have not seen that yet – just horrible Jungle Book) was like World of Color
But I would say if you have not seen WOC – go to that show!!
We did dining package to see WOC.

Was the dining package worth it? It’s quite a bit of $$ but if it’s worth the money and viewing we’ll consider.

World of Color! I’ve seen the new Fantasmic via YouTube, and think that although the projections are more clear, I liked the old Fantasmic show at Disneyland much better.

That being said, if I were to do World of Color and had unlimited money, I’d definitely do the Dessert Party for World of Color. You get food, drinks, and a place to SIT (everyone else has to stand). :cupcake: But it is spendy – $79 per person! :surprised:
