Monday January 16th:
6am alarm went off. We had breakfast at our hotel and it was much quieter! We went to Disneyland with an 8am opening and got through the turnstiles right at 8! We got on Main Street and they were still holding people at the rope. They opened about 3 minutes late, so unusual for Disney! We went straight to Space with a 15 minute wait. Then grabbed a FP for Space with a 10:10am return time. Off to Indiana Jones with a 10 minute wait. Then over to Pirates with a near walk on. We then went to Thunder with a 15 minute wait, but it went down right when we were on the platform. They gave all of us at the platform FP’s to use the rest of the day and actually link them on your park ticket (they then scan your ticket at the FP entrance when you return later). Over to Star Tours with a 45 minute wait. Then off to Space at 10:50 to use our FP. We walked through Star Traders again, we really like this store since it’s a big Star Wars store! It was getting close to lunch, so we hopped over to California Adventure.Once in California Adventure, I got in line for Starbucks while Ryan went to get FP’s for Soarin. We decided to get Gourmet hot dogs at Award Weiners. We tried the BBQ dog and the Spicy dog, both were really good! We had never eaten there before. We then went to Ghiradelli for Ryan and I got a churro (Disneyland has ridiculously good churro’s!). We ate these while in line for Toy Story with a 45 minute wait. I beat Ryan by about 20K points!!! That never happens anymore! But I was on a roll! We then went to Screamin with a 35 minute wait. And a little tidbit for those who don’t know, Neil Patrick Harris is the voice for the safety spiel recording! It was then time for our Soarin FP’s, we still had about a 20 minute wait, but stand-by was 75 minutes. We got the center section again! We decided to go back to Disneyland again.
We stopped for pics at the Partners Statue and Castle with our medals. Then over to Thunder to use our FP from when the ride was down this morning. Then over to Peter Pan with a 35 minute wait (not bad for 4pm!). But it really ended up being 55 minutes! We were getting hungry, so while in line, we pulled up the Disneyland app and booked a take at Carnation Cafe for 5:30pm. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were given a pager. It buzzed within a few minutes. We ordered Walt’s Chile, Chicken fried chicken and meatloaf. All were so delicious!!!!!!! I highly recommend eating here! Again, in all of my years at Disneyland, I had never eaten here either! We were stuffed! So we walked around strolling and taking in the sites for a while. Then decided we needed something sweet. We grabbed a Dole Whip and enjoyed the Tiki Room. We went into the Adventureland Shop and listened to Shrunken Head Ned give me some medical advice (such a fun gem and was just 50 cents!). We then went and took a spin on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride with a 20 minute wait. Then Tea Cups with a 10 minute wait. A risky choice since we were still full! But all of our food stayed inside! :p
We stopped and grabbed a peanut butter sandwich (if you haven’t seen this at Disneyland, look it up!! It’s a graham cracker slathered with over an inch of peanut butter and the entire thing is massively dipped in chocolate!!!) and an M&M Rice Krispie treat to take back to our room. We stopped in World of Disney. Then Sprinkles to use our buy one get one free coupon! So I got another gluten free Red Velvet and Ryan got the standard Red Velvet. We took them back to our room. We were in our room by 8:40pm. Ate our cupcakes and relaxed. We usually pack up the night before we leave, but we were both too tired and unmotivated. So we would get up early to pack. Lights out by 10pm.
Miles logged 9.4March 29, 2017 at 10:22 am #20056Wow, you got a lot done and how awesome that your wait times weren’t too bad. 55 minutes for Peter Pan is pretty standard now. But at 4pm that’s unheard of since FantasyLand is still pretty busy w/ little kids. Glad you had a great time and your food choices were all great!
March 29, 2017 at 10:27 am #20062Thank you!!! We would have preferred the 35 minute wait, but it really wasn’t that bad! We had a great day and lots of yummy food!!!!!!
March 29, 2017 at 10:28 am #20065Then Sprinkles to use our buy one get one free coupon! So I got another gluten free Red Velvet and Ryan got the standard Red Velvet. We took them back to our room. We were in our room by 8:40pm. Ate our cupcakes and relaxed.
A Sprinkles BOGO coupon!!!??? Wow that is so awesome! And just so you know, you’re making me REALLY want a cupcake now.
Sounds like you guys had another amazing day!!
March 29, 2017 at 10:34 am #20069Since Sprinkles had just opened not long before, they were doing coupons. Plus, it was race weekend. So I think it was the combo of those two things is what did it! They put the coupon on your receipt! Go get a cupcake!!!!!
It was a great day!March 29, 2017 at 9:09 pm #20175I did not know NPH was the safety spiel for Screamin’! How cool! And way to go beating Ryan on TSMM! Wooo! Great day!
March 29, 2017 at 10:17 pm #20183Yes, the countdown to launch is him too! And the “hurry hurry hurry” while you are on the platform is him! Cool huh?! I was so giddy about beating Ryan! He wasn’t too happy though! He’s gotten so used to beating me, he doesn’t like to lose!
March 30, 2017 at 5:47 am #20186That is very cool! Haha, poor Ryan…not!
I don’t feel too bad for him, he always beats you, you deserve to win once in a while.
March 30, 2017 at 10:09 am #20244Haha! Thanks!!!!! Now he just needs to understand that too!!! I’m allowed to win every once in a while!!!

StupidJudy71 XPIf anyone knows if they offer this at WDW I need to know! I just checked Google but no luck.
March 31, 2017 at 3:34 pm #20521They do not exist at WDW!
:'( It is a Disneyland exclusive! They used to ONLY carry at Pooh’s Corner. But now they also offer it at the Main Street Confectionery as well. But they don’t even carry them over in California Adventure! There was a huge uproar when they pulled them for about 6 months. They changed them just slightly and brought them back. I am shocked at how thick the peanut butter is and the chocolate! I will find my cross section picture of it and post it for you!
