    Monday November 14th:
6am alarm but we woke up a little earlier. We were out of our room by 7:30am. We opted to grab breakfast at Earl of Sandwich today. It was yummy but didn’t hold in the belly as long as Denny’s had. The crowds had lightened up from race weekend, the security lines were much shorter. There were long lines at the turnstiles at 8:30am for a 9am opening. They were letting us in and up to the ropes. We were to the Tomorrowland rope by the 9am opening and the opening announcement. We went to Space with a 15 minute wait, but most of that was just walking the queue! After riding, we got FP for Space with a 10:15am return time. The off to Matterhorn with a 10 minute wait. We went to the left line since that track is faster. But we all got wet at the splash down at the end! I don’t ever remember getting wet on Matterhorn! Off to Alice with a 15 minute wait. Then walked onto the Tea cups. All of this was done by 10am! Thunder was down so we went over to Indie with a 25 minute wait. It broke down just before we got to the loading area. After about 10-15 minutes, they got it going again. We then grabbed FP for Haunted for 11:40am. We went and used our Space FP. The off to Buzz with a 25 minute wait. While we were in line, it went down and they shut the doors. The power went out after we had been in line for 15 minutes. We went to use our Haunted FP, but it was down too due to no power. It sounded like several things were without power.

So we went over to California Adventure. We stopped at Starbucks for drinks and waited about 30 minutes. Apparently everyone else needed caffeine too! It was around noon. Drinks in hand, we went and grabbed lunch at the Pier (pasta and salad). We caught the Elena of Avalor (I think that’s her name) her little show. They had a lot of the Festival of Holidays things going on in this area too. We grabbed a Nestle Tollhouse Ice Cream sandwich in front of Screamin and ate it in line for Screamin with a 20 minute wait. We then went to the gift shop of Tower and picked up a “Final Checkout” ornament that we had seen the other day. We then went and did the Single Ride Line for Racers and only waited 5 minutes! We ended up in the same car too! We then walked through the Cars Land shops. Then off to Toy Story with a 40 minute wait. Then Monsters Inc with a 5 minute wait. We then went into the Sorcerers Workshop to discover which character we are like. I got TinkerBell and Ryan got Syndrome from Incredibles! We walked through all of the shops in the Buena Vista Street area. We grabbed an early dinner around 4:45pm. We tend to be hungry the day after a long run! We went back to Smokejumper’s Grill. Ryan got Chili Cheese Fries and carried them to the Wharf where I picked up my broccoli and cheese soup bread bowl! I rolled my ankle in this area and made it angry. Thankfully it was after my race! I’m just not very graceful! We stopped for ice cream at Ghiradelli, I could just handle a few bites, but it was so good! We stopped at Cars Land to take some night pics. We then went through the remaining Buena Vista Street shops.

We went back to Disneyland and were still able to use our FP from earlier since it had been down. We then went to Pooh with a near walk on. Then we walked through Pooh Corner store. We then grabbed FP for Thunder for a 7:50pm return time and it was 6:45pm! We then got in line with a 30 minute wait. Then off to Pirates with a 20 minute wait. They were running so many boats that we kept getting backlogged within the ride and before we could disembark as well. So it actually took a while to ride it and get off! We then went back to Thunder at 8:20 to use our FP. We were getting tired, so we left just before the 8:45pm fireworks to beat the crowds. Good thing we did because Main Street was super packed with people waiting to watch! We stopped by World of Disney. While Ryan shopped for my Christmas Ornament gift, I heard the fireworks. So I stepped outside and watched what I could over the trees. I’m a little sad we didn’t stay for the Christmas fireworks, but we were just too tired to deal with all of the people. We then grabbed fresh Wetzel bits and ate them outside while they were hot. So yummy! We were back to our room before 10pm. We packed up everything we could since we go home tomorrow. Lights out just after 11pm.

The Space queue is so long out there! It can never be less than a 10 minute wait because that’s how long it takes to walk it!
Great day and awesome use of rope drop time!

Exactly!!!!!! Though, it’s not as long as Indie’s queue! That thing feels like a full mile to get to the ride!!! LOL Thanks! The first two hours at DL are crucial to accomplishing anything for sure!
