What are some Disney books you have enjoyed? Not travel planning books, but books about Disney people, Disney Parks, etc. Ones that you REALLY enjoyed a lot.
June 25, 2018 at 12:37 pm #80842I haven’t read all that many, but out of the ones I’ve read, my favorites are:
The Imagineering Field Guide to Disneyland ( a tour through Disneyland as told by Imagineers)
The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World 2nd Edition by Susan Veness (essentially a ton of secrets and details to story in the four WDW theme parks)
I’m looking to pick up “Dream it! Do it!” this summerJune 25, 2018 at 12:41 pm #80844I got two books by Marty Sklar for Christmas that I haven’t gotten around to reading yet, but I’m excited to! I also want to read, From Dreamer to Dreamfinder by Ron Schneider

Thanks for that tidbit about Hidden Magic! I added that one to my reading list. Looks great! I don’t know anything about Dream It! Do It!

Once you read them, let us know what you think!
June 25, 2018 at 3:44 pm #80978Some of my books
*Disneyland Then Now and Forever by Bruce Gordon and Tim O’Day
An American Original: Walt Disney by Bob Thomas
The Vault of Walt and The Revised Vault of Walt by Jim Korkis
Walt Disney World Hidden History by Kevin Yee (I have other trivia books as well. There are lots)
Windows on Main Street by Chuck Snyder (more of a pamphlet really but I really like it)
Poster Art of the Disney Parks by Danny Handke and Vanessa HuntThe first is my favorite. I have more books, but these were handy at the moment. Disneyland Now, Then, and Forever gives a historical perspective of each ride from the first to what is there today. So for instance, you have Splash Mountain, which supplanted the Country Bear Jamboree, which supplanted the Mine Train through Natures Wonderland. It is a good pictorial and editorial perspective of how the park has grown and changed.

stitchmom35 XPDo you enjoy reading fiction as well? If so, be sure to read The Kingdom Keepers. These are actually Young Adult books(I teach middle school), and there are 7 in the series. They involve young kids battling the villains of Disney and working along side the heroes. They move through the Disney parks at night. The series would be fun for summer reading!
