Daddy/daughter trip – October 24 – 30, 2017 – Final

Monday 10/30/17
We unfortunately had to get up WAY too early for Tragical Express, but we had a smooth flight back, even landing about 15 minutes early so we were able to get Lauren off to work for the afternoon with no hiccups. I, however, went home after that and just cuddled with my kitty.

Final thoughts:
This trip was everything I had hoped it would be and so much more! I couldn’t have had it play out better in my head if I tried. We enjoyed each other’s company so much and just couldn’t stop smiling, laughing, and having a wonderful time. Throughout it all, especially the first few days, we kept saying how we couldn’t believe how much we were getting done, and how much time we had left, and we really never felt rushed. We rope dropped (most of the time well before the actual “drop”) and went like gangbusters the first few hours and then just slowed it down and relaxed and enjoyed the latter part of each day. Was it crowded? Maybe. Probably. Honestly we couldn’t really tell because of our strategy. We were constantly beating any crowds to the punch for headliners and then used FP or lesser rides later. My first experience with Food & Wine was also a huge success! Thanks in large part to Lauren planning out which booths we were going to hit each day, and pretty much in what order, we were able to try almost everything we wanted and without criss-crossing the park and without having five desserts in a row for example. The only limitation was our bellies. If not for weighing in at about 500 pounds each at the end of a night, we would have been able to get everything, as it is we only sacrificed a couple things on our list.
I really try not to compare trips, for each is unique and special in its own way but this was truly one of the absolute best times and trips I’ve ever had. Plus she got so many happy birthday wishes, from cast members and guests alike, and we got so many compliments on our daddy/daughter trip from our buttons, and so many conversations started, with cast members and guests alike, it was just so special and wonderful! I would do a daddy/daughter trip again in a heartbeat given the chance!
