    Friday 12/15/17

We got to Studios at a good time and were able to rope drop Rock-n-Roller Coaster, actually being on and off the ride by 9:05! Let me just say, we all loved the decorations at Studios. The retro tinsel and Rudolphs and Santas and the tree and decorations in Echo Lake, I truly think this may have been our favorite park decorations! I’m sure it was Kathy’s as she told me so! They even had rock and roll Christmas music playing in the RnRC courtyard for an added touch! We used our FP for Tower right after RnRC and then got to meet Santa in the Five and Dime and picked up our AP magnets also. We used our Toy Story Mania FP’s and then too Kathy and Ben to meet BB-8, a first for them after Lauren and I had met him in October. He is so cute! We took a bunch of pictures of decorations and the tree on our way over to Star Tours to use our FP, which was a very good use as it was a 60 minute wait by now! We finally got to have PizzeRizzo for lunch! The hours always were so short that it was closed by the time we could get there. It was a really nice day so we enjoyed our lunch outside on the balcony with a great view overlooking parts of the park. It was quite tasty food too and we picked up a 4th FP for Star Tours for our return later in the day. We then wandered over to catch Beauty and the Beast show, one of our favorites and met Kylo Ren at the Visa Meet and Greet before heading out for our afternoon break, knowing we’d be closing down the park that night.
After a nice little rest break we went back and used our Star Tours FP and had dinner at ABC Commissary. We did some shopping and then saw Jingle Bell/Jingle BAM! It was a really cute show and as a Prep and Landing fan I liked it. We got some really awesome nighttime shots of the decorations including some Photopass with the tree in Echo Lake as a backdrop. We really, really liked the tree in Echo Lake! I am pleased they are continuing that. If we thought the decorations during the day were neat, they were really awesome at night! Next was what we were really waiting for, Sunset Seasons on Sunset Blvd with the projections on Tower of Terror! Oh my gosh, it was worth every ounce of any waiting! And they had screens set up for additional scenes so you really could view it from anywhere on Sunset Blvd. It never felt crowded! I’m sure we stayed for two full run throughs, at least! I think I could have even stayed for more! But it was getting late so time to head back home for a Mickey Bar to round out the night.

Ooooh we definitely passed you by on this day!!! that’s where we were too until dinner at Yachtsmans. I have really started thinking the same about Studios. the decorations are so nice (not quite Osborne lights, but…) and with the addition the last few years of snow and the Seasons, its just so festive through the whole park now! we used to always make Epcot our late park of choice, but more and more its become Studios. :tree:

What an awesome day! You really got to enjoy everything!! The Christmas decorations there sound amazing!!!! I’m trying to remember if they were still up in January. But I remember seeing your pics and the retro decorations were awesome!!! I’m so glad you finally got to eat at PizzeRizzo! We really like going there! It’s usually pretty quiet and tucked away! Oh, they offer free refills there! I think I told you that after we discovered that last month! Jingle Bell/Jingle Bam looks really cute! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Oh my goodness, I watched a stream of the projection show there and it looks awesome on Tower of Terror! I hope they do that the next time we get out there for a Christmas trip! I think everyone should round out their day with a :mbar: !

You know what, the only time we got to Studios in January was when we walked with you guys over there so I don’t really remember them at that time either! We were all exhausted by then! I remember you telling us about the free refills, that is so awesome!

Come to think of it, the holiday decor at DHS is probably my favorite too! Kind of “nostalgic” (I say with quotation marks, being a teenager who has only walked this Earth for not even a quarter century) LOL
I find it so weird how PizzeRizzo closes so early! Although, last time I was there, we checked the hours for the ABC Commissary which closed at the same time. Later after closing time, we passed ABC and it was still open! Part of me thinks PizzeRizzo is open for dinner, but I can’t confirm. I would love it if it was open for dinner! It’s such a cool eatery!
Sunset Seasons Greetings was really cool! I wish they had more than four shorts, it was so good though! And image riding ToT while it’s going off!

We found them very nostalgic, yes! It would be so cool to ride Tower during that time!
