bexruns374 XPI really liked it, a lot more than I honestly thought I would actually!
It didn’t feel heavy handed in any way, which I really enjoyed and I think for young girls (just like Wonder Woman) this is a wonderful film.
Can’t wait for End Game.

Can’t wait for End Game.Definitely! Why aren’t tickets out yet for End Game?!
March 13, 2019 at 10:49 am #104906The Captain Marvel comics never appealed to me but I was super excited for this movie because it looked so well done and it was. I did not have that comic background knowledge so the movie was all new to me and I didn’t find it predictable at all. Not the typical Marvel movie in my opinion but tied in nicely with other events in the MCU. I really do feel like this is a must-see before Avengers: End Game. I thought it was very empowering and inspiring for females and I really enjoyed that. The movie wasn’t political at all if you were wondering about that.
For me personally, I was wanting to see a lot more of Captain Marvel’s backstory and I was sad we didn’t get to see that. I felt like that part was rushed and an afterthought and therefore it diminished some of why you would root for her, not really knowing who she was. Also on a personal note I wanted a lot more Air Force action but of course I’m biased in that respect
March 13, 2019 at 11:20 am #104910Maybe prisoner of the moment, but hands down, the best Stan Lee cameo from any Marvel Film.
March 13, 2019 at 12:00 pm #104918The only Marvel movie I’ve seen is Guardians of the Galaxy. I’ve got all of them on my netflix list to see before my cruise in January, which has a Marvel Day At Sea.

@sej101 totally agree, now I want a flirkin!April 11, 2019 at 2:26 pm #107191@warrsm Just think of all its uses! Self defense, safe place for valuables, talent show competitions, I mean, what can’t it do?

I like her too! I think she was perfect casting for this role! I feel like this is a pretty good standalone movie to watch if you haven’t seen any of the other Marvel movies. You’ll still be able to follow it and enjoy it. I think if you’ve seen Agents of SHIELD (TV show) you would understand more about the Kree and who Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson’s character) and Phil Coulson are, but it’s not essential to have seen before watching Captain Marvel. Now if you want to see the new Avengers coming out, Endgame, you definitely need to see Captain Marvel first!
April 12, 2019 at 9:14 am #107230@starbee gotcha! i’ve resisted watching marvel movies this long, but i think i’m gonna cave soon lol. they’re becoming too big, i feel like i’m missing out
April 12, 2019 at 9:22 am #107233I read numerous Marvel comics so I’m all about these movies! And the man candy if you do decide to watch Avengers: Endgame, see Captain Marvel first, then see Avengers: Infinity War, and then go see Endgame. Endgame is part 2 to Infinity War.
