And don’t make people pick their park ahead of time

Definitely this. My favorite thing to do on the last day of a trip was go the bus stop and whatever park bus came first is where I would spend my last few hours.

Yes, I love the spontaneity of Universal. I can just show up on the day and do what I want. That park is busier than I thought? I can leave immediately and go to the other park. Not sure where I want to eat? That’s okay. Unless it’s Christmas, Thanksgiving or Spring Break, chances are I can walk up anywhere I feel like on the day and get a table. The weather changed so now I want to change my plans? No problem. Truly relaxing vacation. The nth degree of planning required at WDW these days makes it more stressful than fun for me at this point

Give one free fast pass with entry and then let them buy more any time they want

and for the love of God, bring back perks. The only perk left is transportation from your resort to the parks. That’s it. I’m gonna point to sea world of what is EXCELLENT perks…their annual pass gives you free parking, good discounts of food and souvenirs…and special monthly perks including things like a $10 voucher to use on anything you want! That is 100% customer service. Of and I don’t have to tell them I’m coming. They are just happy I showed up.

That’s a neat hybrid idea! Keeps their cash cow giving milk but also gives the guest something included in the already high price of admission.

Kind of like Universal does. You want Express for “free”, stay at a premium hotel. You don’t want to stay at a premium hotel but still want Express, you can purchase on the day you visit. I’m not saying Disney should replicable Universal, but I am saying there is a better system than what they currently offer. It’s a complete mess IMO.

Then I’m not the only one that has multiple spreadsheets, two scientific calculators, an abacus, compilation of historic weather reports for each day, a psychic and divining rods as a back up to plan my next trip to Disney? :surprised:

Maybe they did that on purpose to stop flippers but there must be a better way

Yea, not sure how you stop flippers, but my three takes on that are:

Disney needs to not have as many “limited run” items just make more of the item for God’s sake. I get the feeling these are to get people into the parks, but the people it gets into the parks are the ones getting them to resale (who most likely have annual passes) then exit the park. I will say I’m not traveling to WDW to get a plastic Figment or Mr. Toad popcorn bucket.

When there is a limited run item, for in person sales and online sales, make it a lottery system for who gets to purchase it along with the purchase limit of two. I know the flippers will probably find way to overwhelm the lottery system but at least it gives the rest of us a fighting chance.

Lastly, consumers need to get a grip, you will not die if you don’t get that plastic popcorn bucket! If people stop paying stupid money and get more discerning then the flipping will go away or there flipping prices will get more reasonable. :coin: :cheshire: But I won’t hold my breath on that one.

Yea, you should have seen the looks I got from my wife when the phone alarm would go off at 6:50am :rabbit: to make our Lightning Lane selections! Even if it was playing “Now is the Time”!

So true! You’re attracting only the people who are flipping. I’ve never understood why they don’t just make more of whatever it is. By not doing that they’re literally handing money over to secondary sellers and we all know how much Disney wants to make a profit! :coin:
