    Saturday August 13th:
6am wake up. We were a little slow moving this morning. Grabbed breakfast. Bus to AK for 8am EMH but we didn’t quite get there until 8:10am. Straight back to Everest with a 15 minute wait. Hopped back on for a second ride with a 5 minute wait! The regular park hours started. Met my sister and niece at the safari and used our FP. We watched the Lion King show at 11am and barely made it in for the first show. Ryan and I used our Kali FP and didn’t get too wet. I grabbed us drinks at Starbucks while Ryan got our food at Pizzafari and met my sister and niece there. A very kind elderly CM saw my birthday button and wished me a happy birthday. A little while later, he came to my table and gave me tiramisu with a candle! He was so sweet! We all used our Everest FP. Ryan and I then book an evening safari FP for 7:45-8:45 to try to catch it at sunset. We caught the 2pm Nemo show to enjoy the AC and Ryan napped a bit. We then drove to RS to swim for a bit. My sister and niece left because they had other obligations in the real world. LOL

Ryan and I took a bus back to AK and grabbed dinner at Flame Tree around 5:45pm. It wasn’t crowded since FT closed at 6pm. We sat down by the water. We witnessed an aggressive crane go up and steal chicken right off a girls plate! It really freaked her out! A CM witnessed it and went and got her an entire new plate of food and the girl moved tables. We walked some of the trails and saw some active animals, especially the tiger! We then got a double chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich at Tamu Tamu, so yummy!!!! We got in line for our safari FP right at 7:45pm, but we had to wait about 25 minutes. So the sun was almost fully down by the time we started. The standby line was 45 minutes. We were fortunate enough to see and HEAR the lion roar a few times! So awesome! There weren’t many other animals out though. We stood on a bridge to try to watch the Jungle Book Alive show at 9pm. There were a lot of rude people pushing their kids in front of people. We watched the show for a few songs and were not impressed. I’m glad we hadn’t tried to get FP or waited to get seats! We opted to go ride Everest with a 20 minute wait. Holy cow, this ride is so awesome in the dark!!!!! We swung by Starbucks to buy their SB/AK mug for my collection. We caught the Tree Awakenings on our way out. Very cool!! We were at the bus stop before 10pm. There was a lot of traffic on the roads and it took a little longer to get to our hotel. But we got to the main bus stop by 10:30pm. We filled our mug, went to our room and lights out by 11pm.

I like how Ryan napped a bit! LOL I can’t wait to see the Tree Awakenings. I’ve heard absolutely nothing but very good things about it. Good day!

Ryan is such an awesome power napper at the parks! I don’t know how he does it!! If we weren’t so tired, we would have watched more showings of the Tree Awakenings since it changes each time. A must watch!
