Friday August 12:
5am wake up and got a 2 mile run in with 95% humidity! We are in training for our November half marathon at Disneyland. We had breakfast at 7am. Bus to MK EMH with an 8am opening. Got there just a few minutes after opening. We rode Space twice back to back. Then off to Buzz, where I lost horribly as usual. The regular park hours started. Met my sister and niece and rode Space with a 15 minute wait. Jungle Cruise with a 15 minute wait. Met Woody and Jessie in 5 minutes. Met Peter Pan with a 5 minute wait. Then went and watch Belle’s story with a 10 minute wait. My niece was selected to be Maurice! She had fun! We grabbed a yummy huge cinnamon roll at Gaston’s. Pirates with a 20 minute posted wait, but it broke down while we were in line. We opted to stay in line since it was nice and cool. It was back up and we were on in 20 minutes. We grabbed lunch at the Golden Outpost and sat inside and upstairs at Pecos Bills. We rode the People Mover. Then walked through shops on Main Street on our way out. We took the Monorail to the TTC to get to my sisters car. We went to RS and swam for about 20 minutes. We rinsed off and then went to HS. A huge storm was rolling in. So we went straight to Star Wars Launch Bay. Met Kilo Ren and a Jawa. Then off to Star Tours for our 4:45pm FP. We walked through One Man’s Dream while waiting for our Toy Story FP to come up for all of us. On Toy Story, we discovered an unlocked a bonus screen on the ring toss screen. If you clear off all of the aliens on the rocket, it launches and turns into a robot head! When he opens his mouth, you shoot in rings and score big! Each time he opens his mouth, the point value goes up too! We said goodbye to my sister and niece. We went to the ABC Commissary for dinner. Ryan got the steak and I had the salad. Both were really good! We then used our Tower FP and had lots of lifts and drops! Great sequence! It started pouring rain, so we ducked in and grabbed a carrot cake cookie at Sweet Spells and put it in our pack for later. We then ran over to Starbucks for a toffee cupcake, which we ate at a covered table outside (the rain had stopped). We realized we forgot to return a pair of 3D glasses for Toy Story, so we took those back. It was just before 9pm so we got a good spot for the Star Wars fireworks show. Holy cow! Such a great show!!!!! We went straight to Rockin Roller Coaster. It was now EMH from 9:30-11:30. The line was back up and we had a 40 minute wait. We completed our ride and got back in line with just a 10 minute wait! Ryan’s name showed up on two of the posters in the queue! It was just before 11pm. We were tired so we ate our carrot cake cookie on the way to our bus stop. We had just missed the bus, so we waited about 15-20 minutes and made it on that bus. We had lights out just after midnight.
