Saturday 4/6/19
We got to sleep in, no alarm! Got up, showered and while Kathy got a platter with waffles I had a delicious omelette breakfast sandwich at Landscape of Flavors. This was what Heather had on Thursday and it was so good! Great price too, something in the $6 range! Steve and Michelle let us know they were at WWoS getting ready for the kids races so we met up with them there just as they were meeting Boba Fett. Oh my gosh we had such a fun morning with them! The kids all did super great! It was a great few hours spent with people we don’t get to see nearly as often as we’d like!
After saying our goodbyes we bused back to AoA and stopped to fill up our mugs before heading to Animal Kingdom. We stopped and got a Mickey Bar outside of Island Mercantile, and boy did it taste good! It was a little warm. Heather, Ryan, and Teri were getting pics in front of Tree of Life so we were able to see Teri for a bit before she left. The four of us then headed over to Dinoland were we met up with Robyn and Tonya. We headed over to EE for our FP and Kathy kept going to her FP at Kali. I got to ride EE with Robyn! It was so awesome! Afterwards we met up with Kathy after her Kali ride and then on to Safaris with Heather and Ryan for our FP. We had a great afternoon safari! Lots of good animal sightings! We had a bit of time before our FoP FP so we stopped for Dole Whips. Kathy and I got ours with rum, so good! Our bellies refreshed, we made our way over to Pandora via the trail by FotLK. That one is so peaceful! Almost nobody on it! We met up with Robyn and Tonya and all six of us rode FoP with our FP! Oh man, it was so great! Michelle had texted that Creature Comforts had Rose Gold Ears brownie and requested we get it and let her know how it was. So while Heather and Ryan headed out we went over there and picked one up to go. We browsed through Disney Outfitters where we met a CM who saw our medals and said she ran the 10k this morning. This was after working to closing the night before (Friday) and then coming in to work this afternoon! Yowch! We had a lovely conversation with her about how much fun runDisney races are. We also found a Jim Shore piece to use our $60 gift card on for foregoing mousekeeping. It was a Mickey and Minnie building a sandcastle and is now proudly displayed in our beach themed kitchen! We made our way out and met up with Heather and Ryan at AoA and showed them our treasure as they finished eating. We had boneless chicken thighs with rice and WDW green beans, so good! Our brownie for dessert was just the perfect topper to the meal. From there we headed back to the room for and early night with another o’dark thirty wakeup on the horizon.
