April 13-20th, 2021 Day 1:
Tuesday April 13th:
3am alarm. Out the door just before 4am. Picked up Paige at her house and to the airport around 5:15am. We all only did carry-ons so we went straight to security with maybe a 5 minute wait. Breakfast at Starbucks and Schlotzkiez. Our normal burrito place is still closed. 7am flight, on time. Layover in Houston with a short layover! It was a good thing Scott texted me about it being nice we finally had a short layover because we absolutely didn’t check! We are so used to having 2-3 hour layovers anymore! So we went straight to our gate with no time for food. Good thing we had some snacks. We landed a bit early. Walked straight onto our Magical Express and left within 5 minutes. They were still telling people which seats to sit in with Covid restrictions. We mobile ordered food from POP since we were all hungry! Placed the order while on Magical Express and clicked “I’m here” once we were pulling into the parking lot. Our food was ready quickly. Ryan and I shared the turkey dinner and it was delicious! We got our room text that it was ready for Room #1140. Face masks are still required at all times unless actively eating, drinking or taking photos. Page got her room text and went to her room to drop her things off. Ryan and I changed. Paige met us back at our room. We took the Sky Liner to HS. Rode Mickey’s Runaway Railway with a 30 minute wait. Then Toy Story Mania with a 10 minute wait. I scored 183K! Not too shabby for me! Then to Alien Saucers with a 5 minute wait. Slinky next and we were on in 20 minutes! We Mobile ordered from Cargo Bay for near immediate pick-up time. I had fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and broccoli. Ryan had ribs with Mac and cheese with broccoli. It was all delicious! Next up Smugglers Run with a 15 minute wait. Ryan and I were Pilots and Paige was Gunner. We managed to collect 2 containers. Photopass pics with Baby Yoda. Walked to Epcot. Got ice cream in France. I had caramel. Ryan got the brioche bun filled with mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate sauce. So yum! We were all tired. It was after 8pm. So we grabbed pastries in France to take for breakfast. Chocolate croissant, beignet filled with chocolate and hazelnut and a big chocolate chip cookie. Sky Liner back to Pop. In our room by 9:45pm. Said goodnight to Paige. Unpacked. Lights out at 11pm.

Fun first day, you guys managed to do a lot! So tired after getting up so early though!
