    Hey there!

My wife and I are planning on going to WDW in October and have thought about using a website where you can book DVC points/rooms that DVC members are selling their points. Has anyone used one of these sites and if so what was your experience? Any recommendations on specific sites to look over? We’re planning on going end of September through early October for our 10th wedding anniversary. We usually stay at value resorts but wanted to upgrade for the occasion. Thanks in advance!

As a DVC member, I haven’t personally used a rental service, however friends of mine that have always used David’s Vacation Club Rentals. They had positive experiences.

I’m pretty positive Chelle can’t do DVC. She can potentially recommend sites but she can’t do anything with the renting of points I think.

We have rented points our last 4 visits. I’m not sure what site my wife has used but they have worked well and been much cheaper than David’s. They also haven’t required a deposit just to look for availability like David’s does. Is there a particular resort you want to stay at?

Yes pretty sure renting DVC points is out of Chelle’s scope and I think the OP is wanting to specifically rent DVC points this time

Good input. Since I haven’t used David’s myself I didn’t want to say that and not speak from experience, but talking to other D-Cotters in chat and around the site, I had heard that David’s is pricier than other places

In Feb. 2018 we paid $2.50 per point less than David’s was asking and when you stay for a week that’s a lot of dough. :)

We’re hoping to stay at either Poly or Beach Club, possibly Wilderness (specifically looking at those three). I’ve looked over David’s as well as a few others. If Chelle can get us a suite at the prices those places can I would 100% go through her.

@Grumpytude can you ask your wife what site she uses for booking? I’m interested in this thread for future trips to the world.

I’ve rented points in the past (I now own, so I haven’t needed to for a bit). What dates are you interested in? You’re getting close to the 7 month mark, which means that the availability is going to go way down. If you let me know your trip dates, I can check availability for you. I’m going to say that getting the Beach Club during Food and Wine is a really tough get, so you might want to expand your list a little bit :)

I just noticed how old this thread is. Did you ever rent points? LOL
