@connie96, a ticket window at a park will be able to handle that for you. You should be fine with your phone screen or MDE app even I think. When we activated in July 2015 I think the CM just asked to see our magic bands and worked her magic from that.

We’re not planning to hit the parks until Thursday morning but, I was thinking I might run to a park real quick when we arrive tomorrow evening just so that it’s done and won’t hold us up. Are the ticket windows open around 8pm or so???

I am not 100% sure on that but I think so. If not, go to the Guest Services which is outside each entrance. They should be able to do it there.

@connie96 For all my trips including my most recent one last October, to activate your APs you will need your confirmation number and wristbands (to link the passes to them). You can activate them at certain Will Call desks just outside the gates of every theme park OR you can also go to Guest Services at Disney Springs. You cannot activate them at your hotel. I have found that Disney Springs has the shortest line for activating annual passes than doing it at Theme Park entrances. But if you must do it at a theme park, I would say Magic Kingdom will have the VERY longest line to wait in to do so, so avoid that option if at all possible. Hope that helps! :)

If you’re not planning on hitting the parks when you arrive, you can also have your AP activated at Guest Services in Disney Springs! They have the same operating hours as the rest of Disney Springs, which I believe is usually until 11:00 p.m. or 12:00 a.m. It’s right across from D-Luxe Burger in the Town Center section.

@RocketEAR99 We’re staying at Coronado Springs so, I’d probably pick whichever park I could get to faster. Looking at google maps, looks like DHS is the closest “as the crow flies” but, CSR is considered an Animal Kingdom area resort so, maybe DAK would be a quicker trip….

I just wanna get ‘er done tomorrow evening so that we can get straight to the fun on Thursday morning. :mickey:

@connie96 I understand  DAK was a short wait for us previous to Pandora opening, but now it’s tough to tell. DHS wait shouldn’t be too bad. In any case, going in the evening should give you the advantage of a shorter wait than going in the morning no matter where you go

Thanks @laprana! We expect to get in around 7pm. I guess we could all go to Disney Springs… we were just planning to unpack and hang around the resort but I thought I might head off to a park by myself real quick so that everyone else could chill. But, it’s not like we’re catching a pre-dawn flight this time so, now that I’m thinking of it, we won’t be as semi-conscious as we usually are when we first arrive…. Something to think about…

Disney Springs! Good you guys, I didn’t think about that. Disney Springs could be a fun evening. Or, Connie, if you want to have some fun, take the first bus! Then hit whatever that park is with no set plans, just walk in, take a deep breath and feel that stress of the real world slip away. Find the shortest line for anything on MDE and get in it. ;)

@connie96 You’re very welcome! One good reason to get your AP at Disney Springs is that once it’s activated, you can then go shopping or grab a bite to eat and use that discount! :)

Hmmmm…. Do you think the rest of my party would forgive me for taking a solo ride??? I had thought about going into the park just because I could… I’m feeling so sneaky all of a sudden!

I was just thinking. Are you going to be staying over 10 days in total during these 2 trips? I was just wondering if it wouldn’t be a better deal just to buy the days that you needed. I guess it’s still the same where unless you are spending over 10 days you are losing money?
