No name yet, but it looks rather interesting.

With all the added rooms… they will need to expand all the parks or open up a whole new park to handle the crowds

i agree with @85glht it’s time for a new park. if they’re gonna keep building hotels might as well give us more places to go.

I was hoping an additional park would be on the table soon. More crowds in the current parks will be difficult. I thought a park that contained all the past sunset rides, maybe History Park or something might be interesting.

THAT is an interesting idea @dngnb8 ! Where all the parks nerds can come hang out! Disney wouldn’t have to worry about pleasing the masses… just digging out the old stuff to the delight of the hardcore crowd!

Magic Kingdom is certainly so many things to so many people…
EPCOT immerses people in science/the future (in theory) and in cultures…
MGM immerses them in different worlds…
Animal Kingdom immerses them in nature…
What would the next park do? Hmmm…

I just read the article… THEY’RE TAKING AWAY RIVER COUNTRY! :surprised:
Might as well put the poor decrepit old girl out of her misery… :(

This was a long time for this Rumor to come out now we get a nature inspired Resort. I’m sure the Imagineers will put tributes to River Country in the main lobby including pictures to when WDW opened in 1971.

ooh i didn’t think of that!! that would be awesome!! i’ve never been to river country and i’ve always been somewhat fascinated by it (and discovery island).

i also wonder how they’re going to differentiate it from wilderness lodge and fort wilderness given that they’re both sort of nature-y.

Looks better than all the other resorts they’ve put out there recently. But like y’all said, do we really need more rooms and DVC? I’m surprised River Country sat idle for as long as it did, especially with all the trespassing issues they had

That would be awesome if it had nods to River Country! :)

I mean, if River Country is abandoned, why not. Not that I’ve ever been there but I LOVE nostalgia and love when they include things from old rides/lands into new things.

I agree . With all the new resorts and resort expansions we need another park. I remember years ago we would go down week after Labor Day and crowds were low, but I really do not find those times anymore with extremely low attendance. Maybe a Villain themed park- be a Villain for a day ? Or theme park built around some of the older Disney movies – Bring back 20,000 leagues under the sea, Flubber, That Darn Cat, Blackbeards Ghost, Herbie Love Bug, Aristocats, Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I am sure they can come up with some fun attractions from some of these movies.

It looks interesting but I feel the same, maybe a new park to help with the crowds would be better !!
