Member Spotlight – Mod – eeyorepoohfan
Well, there has been some time between submissions. I am picking up the pen, er… keyboard as it were, and reporting on the next in my series on Moderators; eeyorepoohfan.
dngnb8: What is your Disney Dream Job and why?
eeyorepoohfan: My dream Disney job would be a Jungle Cruise Skipper because I think I’m absolutely hilarious, full of one liners and sarcasm is my primary language! 
But I really think my true dream would be to be a Plaid dressed CM that does the tours and talks about Disney history!
dngnb8: Well, if you were a skipper, what could go wrong, only a punchline!
dngnb8: When was your first trip to a Disney Park and what memory is the strongest?
eeyorepoohfan: I think my first Disney trip was when my mom was pregnant with me! That was to WDW. We went there a few times before I was 6 but sadly I don’t have any memories of those trips. My first memory of a Disney trip was actually to Disneyland in the mid 1980’s just after we moved out to AZ! I honestly have so many strong Disney memories that it’s hard to narrow down. I remember doing a father/daughter Disneyland trip with my dad and 2 sisters in the late 80’s.
We rode the Matterhorn and it broke down when we were about halfway down! We thought it was so cool because we got to walk down the inside of the mountain! I remember the smell and all the stairs! On a sisters trip with my sister Teri to Disneyland, we were back in Critter Country and were waiting for Pooh and friends to come out to the meet and greet spot. We saw Eeyore come out, he stood on the small bridge over a tiny creek. He found a stick on the ground, dropped it in the water and turned to face the other way on the bridge to watch the stick! He was playing Pooh Sticks!!! My favorite memory with Ryan was on our first trip to WDW together in 2009. It was his first trip to WDW (he had only been to Epcot back in 90’s). And to see everything through his eyes as a first timer was so amazing and made my heart so happy! It was also a super magical trip for us and seemed to get so much Disney magic sprinkled on us with various things. That trip got him HOOKED on Disney!
dngnb8: Another family event. I find it interesting how many adults retro in their minds when visiting the parks with kids. It’s like being transported back in time.
dngnb8: How many D-COT’rs have you met?
eeyorepoohfan: I’ve actually met a lot!!! Over a dozen, easily! I did one of the first d-cot meet ups back in 2015. I met Steve and Chelle (on a few occasions) then with their twins, Tim (@dngnb8), I believe it was @jman410_89, and I think one more person? I’m sorry to whomever I’m missing! I’ve met my now family member, @nascfan, who is officially legitimately my adopted brother and we share a brain. I met him as he and Kathy came to cheer us on during our Dopey Challenge races and met them at the finish line of our 10k back in January 2018. I’ve met my adopted little brother @sej101! I’ve met up with @kcboston and @breesmommy5 on a couple occasions!! I did the D-COT meet up in 2018 and met so many people but cant’ remember their handles!!
There were several people there that I’ve met before. I’ve met @85glht at the Star Wars races! I’ve met sisters @nancyg and @msmurphy. And sisters @monkcline and @disjen. I knew my bestie @deecuellar before D-COT, but we’ve met up at both Disneyland and WDW! I’ve met Sam @croaker at Marathon weekend! Off the top of my head, those are all that my brain can think of! If I missed someone, please accept my deepest apologies! I’m excited to say that I should be meeting up with several other D-COT’rs in January that I haven’t met, so my list will grow even longer!
dngnb8: I remember the visit when we met. I’ve been to many Disney sites and none come close to the family atmosphere this site give.
dngnb8: What is your favorite Disney Movie and why?
eeyorepoohfan: Oh man, that’s tough! I honestly don’t have one favorite Disney movie. Princess Bride is my all time favorite, but that’s not Disney!! I would say that Tangled and Moana are pretty high on my favorites! I love the characters and the music!!!! Mary Poppins, hands down my favorite Live Action. I mean does it get any better than that?! And Emperor’s New Groove! Totally underrated but hysterical! I laugh every time I watch it! Lion King was my absolute favorite when it came out. The story was just intense and had great music! Toy Story will always be a top favorite too. Such a unique and fun story line and I love all the characters! Robin Hood!! It’s Ryan’s favorite and we watch it quite a bit. Such a cute and fun story. And I just love that Ryan loves it so much!
dngnb8: I too am a Poppin’ Tot. That is the wonderful thing about Disney movies, so much to choose from. So many good memories.
dngnb8: What is your favorite food at the Parks?
eeyorepoohfan: Wait, I have to pick just one?!?! For sure a Mickey Bar (take note of my profile pic and me carrying one across the finish line and the end of my marathon to complete the Dopey Challenge) and Dole Whips!!! And there’s something pretty amazing about Disney Fried Chicken too! I love food and all the foods!!
dngnb8: You can pick more than one… I do. Wow, AZ, A Poppin’ Tot, Mickey Bar, Dole Whip. INCONCEIVABLE!!!!!! It’s like you’re a sister from another mother! We have to share a family tree link somewhere or maybe it’s just the Arizona heat!
